I'm in need of some suggestions as what to use in my work here, if you have any suggestions such as brushes, effects, anything useful please post it. I've only started ever so slightly, and heres what i've done so far. thanks all.

Give it a more interactive feel to it. It's barely a part of the image.
Add some color variations of black \ gray to make it a little more "3D".
Personally I would start working from her right side and go over to the left. Make the branches go through her legs, maybe up her waist and out from the arm and in to one of the holes in the wall.
Photo wise, the picture is not very suiting for the theme. Looks more like a base for adding wings and such.
Try and get the feel of the picture. The way the female in the picture is positioned and etc represent the darker side of life and not the other way so go for darker colors. 3 to the max. And then if you wish you could add in a couple of brush strokes or play around with the smudge stick and etc .....
Right, i think i'll cut out the girl, mover her ever so slightly maybe some sort of blur. And i'll get those colours changed. Thanks guys thats all the help i need =]
