It probably wont be called 720 as that just sounds stupid and it's meaningless. 360 does have a meaning.
As for there being a next xbox. MS has already stated they have been working on it and it will be out in 5 years a year ago. ;)

Original reason? To make it sound competitive against the PS3. Xbox 2 sounds like it should go against the PS2 and not the PS3. So they up the number. Then the whole ring of life idea spawned off of it.Quote:
