World Map not updating (Ascent)
We are running our server with 2.8Stable on Fedora, with NCDB 0.2.3. As far as we know everything is in the right place, the maps in the /bin, and DBC in the /bin as well. However, players can do anything without issues except for the fact the World map does not update. This is an annoying situation. I posted over at Ascent and didn't get much help.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
you people sure are lots of help...
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
why should we answer when we don't know a solution.
what do you want. 1000 posts of i don't know, or 1 post with a possible solution.
and ascent and mangos are very buggy on linux based operating systems. it's just a fact.
that's why most people are using windows for their WoW server...
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
Windows is full of bugs, can't even run a stable server on Windows. Someone here has to know. I see too many topics with 0 replies because nobody will help others.
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
i try to help where ever i can.
but i run windows xp professional with sp2 and run a webserver, a habbo hotel server, ventrilo server and a wow server. all without problems, except the bugs that are in the wow and habbo server theirself. :)
and linux is not full of bugs? an open source project that isn't full of bugs? lol
if all the windows users should use linux the bugs would come by hundreds, just like when all windows users will use macOS. then there will be found more macOS bugs.
sorry, but that is my opinion :)
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
I'm not trying to be rude, I just get tired of not getting any help...lol
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
i don't think you try to be rude, just a little frustrated that no one can help you...
just wait, a answer will probably come :)
Re: World Map not updating (Ascent)
Look you've good 7 post haven't read the rules carefully and are acting like a general noob
Obviously if you didn't get any help from the makers the problem can be in 2 things. Either your using their software wrong. Or they don't have a clue what they are doing.
However if you think its the latter repost giving more info and a better explanation as to whats wrong. Try to wait on an answer and refrain from excessive bumping.
