Re: the story about kevin
:D
Thanks for the link Exy. I love stories like this. They cheer you up, especially when things haven't been going well for you recently.
Re: the story about kevin
*reads it just as 'aerosmith - i dont wanna miss a thing' starts to play* fitting song
it just shows that when people say they cant do a task they actually can, if a disabled guy who can hardly walk get to a blackbelt in karate then everyone should be able to. just prooves that mind is stronger than body
Re: the story about kevin
:), nice story. Sitting in a wheelchair it would only get worse, as you never train. Pretty logic, but nice story ;)
Re: the story about kevin

XD!
I never thought of it in the "Beat yo' ass" kinda way.
Nice!
Re: the story about kevin
Well you really shouldnt use any martial art for beating people up only for defence.
Re: the story about kevin
Yeah...
its one of the "disciplines"
But if someone is beatin' on yo grams,
you whoop that beyotch!

"because knowing you can fight, means you never have to" - anon
i know i can walk down the street and if it kicks off i can handle myself against even a group of people, this gives me confidence knowing i can protect myself

we dont deal with gun defence at our school, ive trained 15 years now it would take some1 a second to pull a trigger

some places do yeah, but if its gotten to the point where someone pulls a gun on you, and you dont have a gun of your own its a very fine line
some places will teach it
Re: the story about kevin
whether or not someone pulls a gun out on you isn't the point of martial arts.
True martial arts are wyas to make sure your opponent doesn't get up, to be ale to kill someone with your barehands and with the slightest effort. To master them is to know not only how to kill someone but also to know how not to kill.
A master would be able to take you out without having to use fatal blows.
Nice find Exy it cheered me right up ^_^

Re: the story about kevin
Wow that is indeed an amazing story. Kevin actually reminds me a lot of my friend Matt. He has cerebral palsy as well and he is truly an inspiration. I find it fascinating that Kevin and my friend both have such great outlooks on life, and they try their hardest when doing anything. We should take Kevin as an example and try our hardest, never give up, and always keep a outlook that's cheery and bright. Thanks Ex for this story.
Re: the story about kevin
lmao, like martial arts could teach you how to defend against a gun... use ur head aj!!!!!! when i first saw the title i thought it was about kevin and perry haha, having a read now.
Re: the story about kevin
Nice story Exy. And well i basically went against what martial arts says about using the skillz for self defense... got my ass whooped though...
