Your Judgement Day Is Here.
No idea why i'm making this, but got this question about myself stuck in my head since yesterday so thought it would be a sorta-kinda-almost interesting thread lol.
Basically, If you just suddenly dropped dead right now, would you go to heaven or hell?
I myself don't believe in heaven/hell so this question is irregardless of religion or belief (so for the sake of this thread you have to pretend like heaven and hell are real if you don't believe in them or believe in something else). Also since we know that HOW you die can influence the outcome, just pretend that you just drop dead on the spot for no reason so nobody/nothing is to blame. And confessions ect are irrelevant here, i simply want you to reflect on your life balancing out the good things you have done, from the bad. BTW, lets for the sake of this thread assume that illegal downloading and warez ect is not a "sin", justify it by using the same jogic we have for Robin Hood; rob from the rich to give to the poor (cos i know that if we counted it as a sin, everyone here would be going to hell lol).
Honestly I've always thought that I'd be going straight down to the fiery pits of hell... sure my 'bad' deeds aiint so bad but i done a fair few of them, and don't think i have good enough 'good' ones to cancel them out.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
As the old joke goes, i'd go to heaven, which would be a hell with monsters, and me with god mode and all weapons mode :P.
But on a more "serious" note, i think i'd go to hell, the first level of it that is, for those who are non believers and just plain assholes xD

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I'd think id be in limbo, i hasn't done much bad, but not much good ethier

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Depends entirely if disbelieving is counted as a sin. My personal stance of downloading is, it is the companies trying to sell it that are in the wrong. If you are a factory worker and create a door, do you get paid every time that door is opened? No wonder actors and pop stars are so rich, they are the ones that are morally corrupt.
By relative religious values (ie, laws that make sense) I think I would easily get into heaven, but then I'd more than likely not think I'm good enough for it. I don't think I've ever made someone's life worse than it would have been not meeting me. Far from it, I think my being there takes a lot of flak off other people.
But then I think if it did exist with God etc, I probably wouldn't get in. Repenting would just go against my personal views. If he wanted me to believe he would have made it happen. It's not like we have free will in this world anyway! I guess it might be enough to try to live a good life, I don't know.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I'd go to heaven, but the crew is in hell.
Seriously though, I do not believe in any, yet too young to care or think about it.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Personally, I'm not into the whole God thing anymore, but I always find myself saying "I'm so going to hell" Now in reality I'm not certain tbh. I've done many great deeds and helped out many people, at least I'm pretty sure because I did try my hardest, but at the same time, I'm a huge liar, For most of my life until about 1-2 years ago I've been trying to ignore my identity and fit in with the "cooler" kids. Now though I think very differently and I have a weird outlook on life. I honestly can't decide where I'd go. So many of my thoughts and actions are against what normal people (the machines as i call em :P) think/do or are derogatory, but at the same time I have so many good thoughts and wishes for improvement. Not only that but i generally try too. I always lend a helping hand these days. I'm in a state of change right now where my full personality and self are finally being formed so I can't really tell where it'll go. I have to finish this personal journey I've started first. So far it looks positive, but if it's the Hell that the Catholic Church runs its mouth off about then I'm going there. If it's simply decided by the type of life you've led, I'd like to think chances are slightly greater for Heaven.
PS: drinking and having dirty thoughts were not factored in here. Then again sexual thoughts are not considered a sin imo, so drinking. Hmm I don't do it so much. Yea previous statements still stand.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Show me dope and I'll go anywhere it goes. Yes. Even on my death bed.

Drinking has always been a part of life, even Jesus had wine! Sexual thoughts are human nature, it's genetic to be attracted to the opposite sex. If it wasn't every birth would have to be immaculate conception ;)

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Ex - yet another great post and great vid by you.
I doubt any of us here would go to hell. Sure we all do bad things sometimes, but when you look at it 5 years later it's just a prank. I like what Choson Ninja said in the vid above and I'm in complete agreement with him in regard to this topic.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I think we're all a bit too young to answer that question.
But for now, I'd say I'd be one of those people who God doesn't give a shit about.
If there was a Heaven and Hell, people like me would be swapped around like Pokemon Cards; nobody likes them, nobody really cares about them, they're generally shit and they're going to be forgotten in a month's time.
It's not like I'm Mother Teresa or Adolf Hitler, but I'd say I'm not that important to even be considered yet.
If I was important in life and I did something miraculous, I would have already have had someone from the future trying to kill me anyway, because their views conflicts with my (future) views, and them and other people don't like what I have done.
Sorry if im rambling, i've been doing college work for fucking hours and now i cant get to sleep, and porn's starting to bore me now.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
what i dont understand by bunch of christan fanatic saying that "Your choices have to be what god tells you noting else"
i just don't get it, god gave humans the ability to think and make choices even ones that go against god, but yet we can go to hell for it, why?

Yeah, it's quite simple math, actually. I hereby claim that either there is no hell at all or god is evil. Why?
First, let's assume that we don't have free will. The conclusion is almost too obvious to even mention, but here it is: god created some of us the way that they were headed to hell from the beginning, and they have no choice or power to change the course (no free will, after all). Like throwing a rock off a cliff and then blaming the rock for falling. Evil.
Then, let's suppose that we do have free will. All our actions are only based on our independent choices, making only ourselves responsible for them. But then, who is responsible for creating each and every free mind on earth? God. God created those minds that make such decisions that they would end up in hell, or let's say each of us were given random characteristics on birth and it's up to chance to determine who fails and goes to hell. Sounds like forced Russian Roulette to me.
(this post is theoretical, assuming a god exists, which doesn't in fact represent views of the author)

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Different choices (2 choices).
IMO, I don't really believe in Hell. What is it really? I think that which ever decision it comes to, it's g-d's choice. He created our minds. He has his decision between us than, put them in our mind. We never made a choice, only the g-d did. G-d is responsible for all our actions. Marriage, responsibility, courage, trust, independence, and decision makings.
Hence, g-d makes our decision. G-d makes up our live. Without g-d, we wouldn't be here right now, or would we?

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Nice video Ex...reaLLLy makes you think.
I was never worried about my funeral though.
If it had to be Hell or Heaven I think I would go to heaven...I've got a consciousness, I'm not evil, don't really enjoy hurting others. And I'm simply basing this on the fact that GOD isn't going to punish you for ...things like masturbation...or all those other small things...that people came up with to scare others.
Simply based on the idea that Hell and Heaven do exist.
I don't actually believe it does, but yeah...that's that. And go along with it...don't debate whether or not Hell and Heaven exist.

Good views, So basically *if god existed* god would be the devil, and noting more.
I sorta get it thanks for helping
But i still find the idea of god stupid :P

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Pretty sure this isn't supposed to be a debate about God existing. Just assume for a little bit and answer the seemingly simple, but not so simple, question.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Nice list you got there; I think God or whoever will let you into heaven because you make fun of Scientology, how many times have they thought the world was going to end? 4 or 5 or something.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Meh, As Loxxy said, The Crew is in hell. :D
I'd go to hell, since i didn't confess for years, and I did hella bad things in my life. ;p

Drinking isnt a sin.. You know every time a catholic priest is giving someoen the blood of jesus.. its jsut red wine?
Anyway.. for myself, i think I would probblay go to heaven.. my good deeds far outmatch my bad ones.. Always tehre for anyone that knows me, rarely do anythign bad, and I've always given that extra oomph to help people out.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Straight to hell, though trying to change that.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I think it's more about the intention then about the act itself, an example: You try to fix the heat for an orphanage, then you accidentally mess up, the orphanage burns down, everyone dies. Now does this count as a bad deed or as a good attempt gone wrong?
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
To be honest, if you go to hell for doing one thing wrong, wouldnt everyone in the world go to hell? Everyone must of done something they regret.
As for me, yes i would go to hell, the amount of times i say "Fuck" at school is untrue.

I'm going to sit in Odin's mead hall, eat shit loads of food, get drunk and etc. ^_^

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
My general beleifs are that I wont known anything till I die so untill then I'll live.
But if I were to drop dead I'd most probably go to hell, heaven would be good but knowing my luck I'd end up in the fiery pits making friends with sayan somehow while being chained up and tortured for eternity.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
To Hell, straight into the staff department.
Or maybe I would be left on Earth.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I can't imagine anyone as having never sinned. Personally I think I'm going to hell, I haven't done anything particularly bad, but I haven't done much good either. One bad act sends you to hell, no?

You can sin but also do shit good, so they calculate it,
what they taught me is,
your going on a scale and a feather is on one side and your on the other and when you go up means your going heavenz and when your heavier then the feather your goings down! :D
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Looking at my past I see not so many good deeds. So straight to hell for me no doubt bout it. Unless I change my ways or I shall burn for all eternity.
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
I weigh more then a feather. =(

So fat people can't get into heaven?
I think whoever made that up is going to hell for being to prejudice! Really the only one who can decide if you have lead a good life is yourself. Everyone has there own views and opinions and I don't think we have the right to judge anyone but ourselves.
Exy - I agree in principle but it's very easy to piss large numbers of people off even if it wasn't your mistake. Take for instance having to close down a factory that you are a manager. Who is going to take all the blame for it? They won't think it's our fault for not working hard enough, no, it's the guy in charge!
-
Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
When it comes down to it, you can't avoid hell, assuming you go there for committing any sin. If you can counter balance your sins by committing good deeds, how many good deeds does it take to out weigh the sins?
If I murder someone, is there any way tog et into hell? Should I just be able to do a whole lot of good things and I'm free of that burden. Or, if I spend my sentence in prison, does that wipe the murder form my record?
If it doesn't what incentive is there to be good. Your going to be dead a lot longer then you are alive, so you might as well just go all out evil.

Possibly having 2 children (technically your only making half a life each) and you should be squitz. Another question is what if your child commits a murder, is it not your fault for how you bring up your child? Should perants not backwards inherit their children's crimes? I'm sure that would make people more incline to teach their children right from wrong ;)
I suppose a lot of the murder matters on if it was pre meditative. If the reason was big enough imo it should be easier to repent for it, same for mercy killings (euthanasia etc). If however the murder was just random killing I don't think there would be much you could do to repent it, but then it might of just been the way you were raised to not value life.

Of course you can!
Just live on Mc Donalds for a month. That'll get you heavier if you're really so anorexic that you are as heavy as a feather...
Unless were talking about a 10ft feather made of lead or something? I guess we should of stated what type of feather we are referring to first....

Dammit, and i thought i was becoming a vampire because of it =(
Let's see, the only bad thing i do is... lie, i lie so hard thar my brain will end up exploding from all the fake information on it, yet i still think i will go to Heaven (if it exists) for the other stuffs i do.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Dont believe in hell/heaven, mainly because it sounds so retarded when you think your life is plugged into some giant equation, and returns false if you werent "up to par", and true if you were "up to par".
Just a scare tactic for a lot of religions.

Re: Your Judgement Day Is Here.
Straight to hell, hopefully on fire or something cool like that, gotta be an awesome arrival either way.
