I have heard many different things, that the extra fans that you add too the xbox 360 white is great or that it can ruin your console by over heatting it :S? I dont know but Id like too hear what people have too say, if you have one and it works or dont work just reply that would be great because Im considering buying one, since I had too send my xbox360 already into ms

yea, the thing with the fan making the console overheat seems rather stupid. I'm pretty sure it's false as the fan is actually supposed to solve that problem.
I believe the issues are with the extra power consumption, so you would need 1 with it's own power source.
Anyway they don't really work, the difference is really small, if something is going to malfunction, then any of those coolers aren't going to change a thing.
As Gohan has said, the main problem would be if the power came from the USB ports on the 360. I really see no reason for you to get a fan, because a product shouldn't be marketed if it overheated itself and broke down (oh wait, sometimes it does!). These people making fans to put onto the 360 are mostly rip-offs, looking to solve a problem that doesn't really exist, so I wouldn't bother. If the 360 didn't heat up, then there is something wrong, because the heat has to get out somehow, through the ventilation and plastic casing. Sticking a fan on the back probably won't aid this by a great percentage, perhaps someone has statistics on the cooling improvement?

This was my first one I got. It was one of the more earlier versions. It cuts off power to your xbox and sometimes you get one red light. If you don't get the red light then it will make a really loud noise. Even thought it does all that it does keep the xbox really cool.

This is a more quieter one but you have to manually turn it on. Also you have to plug it in and the cord is pretty short. The nice thing about this is it doesn't affect the xbox power cable.
These are the only two I have ever had. I only use these ones because i like to lay my xbox down sideways not up right. Hope this helps. Also you do need fan if you play for more then 6 hours, people may tell you if the xbox over heats then it's your xbox. It's not the xbox's problem.

As far as i know the fan accessory draws its power from the 360's power supply, which would cause an increase in temprature. I wouldnt buy one anyway.
