[Ascent] 4.0-STABLE with Nocturno spell coefficient rewrite [BlizzLike]
Ascent 4.0-STABLE with Nocturno spell coefficient rewrite!!! :)
Complete rewrite of the spell coefficient system, many spells fixed. BLIZZLIKE!
Fixes Heal-over-Time spells among other things.

Make sure you also import the following to your World database, it is required by Nocturno's patch:
spell_coef_override.sql
Compiled using VC++ 2008, so make sure you have .NET 3.5 installed
Download details: .NET Framework 3.5
Just to put it into perspective, without this patch lifebloom will tick for 39/tick no matter what +healing you have, which is obviously incorrect. With the HoT patch applied lifebloom ticks for 139 with +1300 healing. Same with rejuv, renew, and all other HoTs they all recognize +healing again.
edit: as of 4017 this has been integrated into svn.

No problem... It's an extremely small patch as suggested by Jeffie on ascentemu forums.

Compiled with VC++ 2008, been running for a couple hours now seems very stable, and most importantly (for me as a druid) HoTs work :)
Feel free to check with whatever virus scanners you want, my development environment is very controlled you will never find a virus

Just compiled 3936 stable to see if changes they made to SpellAuras.cpp had fixed Heal over Time spells, it hasn't :(
Therefore here is new 3936 stable WITH Heal over Time fix.

To be honest, this isn't the best patch....
You're better off getting Nocturno's whole spell coefficient re-write, it fixes HoTs, DoTs and pretty much everything.... Board Message

Yes I know Nocturno's rewrite is alot better, but it's also ALOT more work, as it's a complete rewrite of the spell coefficient system and requires alot of code change to implement.
This was just a simple two line patch which enabled the current system to work with HoTs...
And DJAligator, I have downloaded your previous releases, Heal over Time spells were not working properly, unless you have changed something within the last week...
That said, I have just spent the last 20minutes copying/pasting Nocturno's code, and what I have now is 4.0 stable revision 3963, with Nocturno spell coefficient re-write, and collision support.

Added 4.0-STABLE Rev 3968...
New in this revision:
SVN revision extractor, updates on every build.
Basically, servers show correct revision number from now on.. Instead of some servers still displaying 3907 or older.
Oh and once again, this build includes Nocturno's spell coefficient rewrite... Please see first post.

do this fix any proc chances in wow? cuz i have items that dont proc, or porc hella rare and others that proc every hit.

I haven't tested it with procs...
Looks like after 1000 revisions they have finally fixed the spell coefficient system, by applying Nocturno's patch into the SVN.
Therefore I won't release anymore updates.

why call it 4.0 stable? ascent hasn't released 4.0 stable projects :S

It clearly states that it's 4.0-STABLE under svn_revision.h, and the new svn revision extractor also labels it as 4.0... As far as I can tell the BUILD_TAG has been 4.0-STABLE for a long time now they just hadn't created a branch for it under svn.
I think they are starting to clean up svn now as they have created a new 'working' branch, which is hopefully for 4.0 and the 3_8_stable branch will now cease. This appears to be the case as no changes have been made to 3_8_stable since revision 3989, all the newest edits upto 4002 have been under 'working'.
edit:
here's output from vc++ 2008, can clearly see it's 4.0-STABLE.. 3968 was exactly the same as well. and in prior revision check out /src/ascent-shared/svn_revision.h they also state 4.0-STABLE.

stop stop guys, hey i found a few healing spells for priest that dont work.
the last 2 or 3 ranks of HOLY NOVA stop healing me where the lower ranks heal me.
and theres a shaman HoT that still ticks 14 when the player on my server has 3000 bonus healing.

svn have been cleaned up and the patch is now no longer in svn anymore . However it will be back in svn i think else there whas no use to add it to svn in the first place however we will never know how burlex think you can easyer predict the weather than what burlex will do next :D However he and his team is doing an GREAT job :D
I see they are now working for 2.4.x suport :D
