I need a way to restrict (not to eliminate) the drop of uniques G8 weapons and grace and stuff.
it is not clear to me how uniqueitem.ini works. during the setup if thriceshy server I tried to multiply the cycle value by 10. as a result, only G8 bows could drop.
another question is: those uniques are included in the mob drop ? or the server simply "drop" a unique at certainr rate?

Well if you include any item in that Uniqueitem.ini file, the drop rate of that item is restricted to a certain value so that it doesnt drop so frequently. Like the drop rate definition files of unique items and UJ, SMS etc are same but Uniques drop less due to this reason. This controls the drop rate of uniques until the server restarts it will again start over!
then we have another problem. since the server started we have to shut it down once a week to pay limados (an special event made by fabio and coded by me in an external program).
my guess is: there should be a file somewhere in the server setup that controls de uniques times to drop. otherwise I think I will have to eliminate uniques drop. We cant afford to have uniques drop every week.
and I suppose I will have to write another program to check every mob file and see which one has uniques codes ... probably to eliminate them.
any comments?
Just remove them off your creep drop file. :D Wherever the Unique item code exists, replace it with nulls. :D Deal sealed.
it is safe to do that? I mean, just to put nulls. I think I will replace them with UJ. since I will have to write a program for that, I will post it in this forum.
and btw, my account manager has some major bugs, and noone made a complain about that (thats means a few people tried it). I will post a fixed version soon on the same thread.
Wont matter really. It'll just drop nothing when it's supposed to drop the unique. Yeah. But replacing it with some pointy hair or summat wont cause much of a loss either. :)Quote:

for the record, ITM file format is 6 bytes each record. I havent time to figure out how chances are working (as per Legendary note).
I have bring the server up, but forgot to eliminate the codes in the uniqueitem.ini, does it matter?

Well really depends. Maybe glitches with the uni drops or so? Cant really say.
Well i have an advice for you!
Instead of messing with the Item files and creating unusual effects in the game, just leave your Zoneserver as it is. Create a new Zoneserver and configure it with your server. In this Zoneserver, edit all the item files and uniquedrop files as per your need.
If you need to have a bossing event in a map and you wanna make sure that the bosses drop only UJ,SMS, SJ and LJ, you can load the map into the second Zoneserver and configure the drop files. This will cause the bosses to drop only the items that you want! If you want to revert the changes, just shutdown and restart the second Zoneserver, keeping the First Zoneserver intact, which will keep the players on other maps intact!
Try this out!
You can even configure different drop rates for same creeps in different maps using this procedure~!
