Fuselight was developed by Sulake. I'm pretty sure alot of you know what it is.
May be useful, so yeah, here it is. Lets hope you know some Java
Thanks,

1st Post :D, .. never heard of fuselight before :(
Just to clear it up .. it's the coding language stuff like the Habbo server is written in.Quote:
Sulake's FUSE Light :: Sulake offers FUSE Light, a free java based opensource GNU replacement for Macromedia's Multiuser Server. It can run on Unix (Multiuser Server runs only on Mac/PC) and has built in support for MySQL. It powers things like Mobiles Disco, Habbo Hotel and Hotelli Kultakala.
Take a look at the web archive if you're interested:
http://web.archive.org/web/200304062...com/fuselight/
(Their Yahoo Tech Group still exists:
fuselight : FUSE Light Multiuser Server discussion group)
Fuselight source from the web archive's :D
what is this???
some screen??
Sure is.
FUSE Light is a certain 'sub'-language created by Sulake, based on Java.
What's lingo then? the director something or other?
Nice Release! :D
Hopefully in the coming years we start to move our servers onto Java so we can finnally "beat" Habbo... :P
Thanks,
MatthewRulz!
We will never beat Habbo.
Java is basically in the same league as C# as an equivalent in my opinion.
Yeah, nice stuff, but why would be bother trying to learn such stuff only for Habbo?
Kkz if you want to learn Java for stuff later or something, but I stick to Microsoft, how monopoly it may be.
If you're a good coder and you know C# for example then you can write a server as least as good as one in Java.
Why would Java be better? Think about that first before even trying to write a server in Java 'because Sulake did it too and they have a very good one'.
It isn't just the language, peoples.

Why does EVERYONE seem to think that Fuse-Light is a 'language' its nothing of the sort - Its just a server written in Java its not a language, or a sub language or anything like that.
The server is written in Java not 'based' on Java
" FUSE Light is pure Java(tm)-server"
Also if you download the source you will see that it is all Java coding, how you came to the conclusion that its a different language i have no idea.
If you got confused by
"FUSE Light is based on FUSE technology which is used for example in popular virtual disco Mobiles Disco. FUSE technology and FUSE Light are developed by Sulake."
FUSE technology is their Protocol (The habbo protocol) That they use such as using 'secret keys' to enable encryption and how they send and receive packets as well as how they do SQL Query's and handle data etc - Its just the protocol. Nothing else.
I must have explained this about 20 times since i joined ragezone - and yet nobody seems to get it.
Hopefully this'll educate a few more of you who otherwise are _NORMALLY_ fairly intelligent RZ users (For this section anyway )
Fuse/Fuselight is NOT a language
~ Jeax
Edit:
@Above: Actually in many aspects C# is better than java (Most people seem to see it as 'Java done right') And yeah, in theory any language (Excluding VB) could be used to make a server that would match the performance of Habbo's one - Its mainly how connections and packets etc are handled rather than the Language - Most languages let you do the same things (Just Using different methods to accomplish them)
I see, my bad. I suppose I kind of assumed it was a language because it was what several servers are, well, based around. But, yeah, if you think about it (um, or read it properly), it clearly isn't a coding language, or sub language.
Am I crazy or does that page look like Jeax page for JASE? Lulz xD anyways nice I haven't seen this in a few years o_o its been quite a while, ;P I remember when I 1st saw this, retros didn't even exist I was like "oh cool maybe I'll make my own habbo hotel?" Lulz, anyways thanks for this release and for bringing back old memories ;P
JASE - Habbo Hotel Server
 I didn't get my images from there i swear!

LMFAO!! xD I knew your site looked kind of familiar haha anyways back on topic I wonder if anyone'd waste their time to make a server with this? I kinda wana see retros coded in dif languages idk why I just think it'd be funny everyone coding in like different languages it sorta is happening now but its more like vb6 vs. vb.net vs. c# ;P anyways I'm getting offtopic so.. yeah I'll shut up now lulz
Edit :
BIG WOW, I remember I did go to this website and that archieve of it is from 2002, wow I was 12 or w/e xD flippin 5 years ago when I saw this / found it ;P thats before habbo usa? when scripting was bigger / fun ;D xD
nice. but i doubt anyone will use it ^^
i probs wont be usin it, first time ive heard of it. lol
Nice Release :D
yeh might take aloook at this
