well do you like cats or dogs i like cats they dont make a mess or poop on youre floor,lol.
but dogs will usually go outside and bark their head off at a car going by so i voted cats..

add a third choice: neither <.<
both require your attention and responsibility...
both animals can be annoying to take care of

its nice to have pets, but for me, atleast right now, i'd choose neither

Cats. They're cute, small and innocent but are always up to something. So that gives them that mysterious look. They're also hilarious when you go to lolcats. They always keep a smile on your face.
Dogs are just filthy, huge and disgusting creatures. They lick, crap, eat their own crap, and drule all over the place. And they're very huge (putting puppies aside). I mean you can pick up a cat but a dog you probably have to start working out in order just to get it on to a chair. They're very mean and furious creatures. I mean if they bite you once you're dead.
They're also very lazy animals. They just sit around all day farting. Which later on becomes crapping.
The only thing they've got is the tricks and that you can use them for protection. That's it.

Wow, a majority of the people voted for cats. I pick dogs because they're active and they play with you. My cat eats and then sleeps all day while my dog cheers me up most of the time.

Cats look after themselves while still being awesome, (most) dogs are loud, bigger and require a much more active involvement. I'm not too fond of dogs for my own reasons so it's cats for me.

You guys ever learned to let u dog shit outside? It's obvious that cats are more liked due the fact of u don't really have to be on it's arse 24/7 (cause it can take care of itself), but in the end I doubt you can take your cat outside and walk a few miles with it..

every cat and dog has its own personality, i've grown up around both and both positive and negative experiences with both cats and dogs

currently renting my house so i am not allowed any pets which is a great shame

although if i had to pick 1 of the 2 i would choose dogs because you can wrestle with a big dog which is fantastic fun
