Ive recreated the databases like 5 times... Still cant get quest to work.
If I need to update my database.. can someone please explain what files i need.
This is what I'm using right now.
Ascent4084
NCDB1126
CharDB 2.3.3 enUS
DBC enUS 2.3.3
Maps enUS 2.3.3
sql updates (26-01-08) not sure how to use this.
There are no quest givers... the npc's are there but they dont have any !'s to give the quests.
What am I doing wrong?

How about you nibtards read other topics concering problems which may even look like this one. All you have to do is run yer DAMN SQL updates! If it doesn't work as a batchfile, open the .sql file and use it as a querry.

in the lasted release are some problems with quest maybe will fix that
Applying the file sql\world_updates\4042_world_quests.sql to the world database will fix no quest problem.

are u possibly using mysql 6.0?
Unfortunately, I am. I keep having issues with 5.0.x. Everytime I try to configure it, and run it as a service I keep getting an error about the side-by-side configuration is wrong and it shuts down.
Your using vista u need to install it as administrator...or something like that...search google for MySQL 5.0 vista patch or something like that
Well, I did a search and found a bugs forum that showed how to hack the config/installer to make it work in Vista. So have 5.0 installed now. Going to resetup my DB and see what happens. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Juggalo.
When you switch to 5.0.54a i think it is i have cant remember it should work perfectly :) Had the same problem myself :P
