It's too monotone. I dis-like the negative space. I think that it says your name in the bottom but damn that thing is hard to read.
I know you can do better than this.

and as long as the colors work, monotone or not its still great

there isnt any negative space, but hey, empty space is great too :p

It doesn't look that bad, but if I compare it with your current one.. no competition.

I like the normal version, however the render need to more viewable, cause acutally my eye has nothing to focus on.

The little swirl on top of his head makes it look funny. It's cool, but your current on is about 20x better.

i find it a little too sharpened around the outskirts of the ink brush. But i really like it, if it had more around the center, and more color variation it would be sellable.
