Re: Server Error
Thats a very odd error...
Also none of your scripts match your core

Re: Server Error
.NETFramwork 3.5 problem you reckon? Is it ok to run .NETFramwork 2.0 SP1?
-
Re: Server Error
Oh...U need .net framework 3.5...
If you dont have vista...you will need windows installer 3.1 also
-
Re: Server Error
Hm i'm already using windows installer 3.1 as i suppose it comes with the windows update everytimes after fresh install windows. Thing is i don't know if my NETFramework 3.5 is really installed properly. The installer didn't seems download all the install files but manage to install. Says 61MB total size but was like 33MB than popup error and next it installed. Program able to launch but i don't know if that's the cause.
When look into the error it seems like something is missing OR the DLLs are really mismatch..

Re: Server Error
Hmm, are u using Windows XP media center?
-
Re: Server Error
Win XP Pro SP2
Pretty fresh one :)

Re: Server Error
you need to download .net framework from the website of microsoft. it don't comes in the update center automatically.
2nd. Using the most recent ascent core and the dll files with it?

Re: Server Error
I downloaded that NETFrame 3.5 Installer from M$ site you listed and is 66MB from the installer download. But if i download the whole redist pack would be like 168MB+ waste of space.
And yeah, i'm using Ascent4100 core, my client still able to run finely with that error. The DLL is in the script_bin folder and im sure the core can reads the DLL because that's how it know the version mismatch.
EDIT: You know what? I dont think the Ascent Core required the whole .NETFrame 3.5 installed. When i start server it initial startup with NETFrame soo fast that i think it only use couple of engines from .NETFrame 3.5. There's no point install the whole damn 100MB package for couples of files.. So if possible to find that engine it is possible to make a repack. While i looks on my HDD load i bet the .NETFrame engine the Ascent core use is less than 5MB
EDIT: Hey i updated core to Ascent4107.. No error :D

Re: Server Error
yea, its the actual way the exe is compiled in. some are errourous for unexplainable reasons with some systems...had it too with my 1st server...tried the exact same files of a laptop, (same programs, same brand) and it worked.
so yea, i tried diff revs and eventually got it working under the old server....that died, so now i use linux ;) runs as stable as ever, can only recomend it

Re: Server Error
I have uploaded a new compile of ncdb and ascent. try these :)
-
Re: Server Error
Read my previous post, i edited instead double post :)
-
Re: Server Error
ok great. but i can assure you that ascent need .net framework 3.5 to run because at least my compiles are compiled with visual c++ 2008 :)
