How do I make custom rares for my retro? I've been wondering for a while. Is there a tut on this?

Sorry if this indeed the wrong section. Newbie to Rage your dealing with here. Ok, i've searched around and found nothing but releases of customs. Nothing thus far on how to make them. Anyone know a good link?

Oh, i've looked through all 15 pages. All i've found is one (1) advanced tutorial. This doesn't help much because I don't understand it hehe.
