i got robbed

i went out to buy some new games and when i got back home almost all my games were gone -_- they took my 360+all games my wii+all games and all my Ps3 games + connections and 1 of the controllers. they left the PS3 and my $2000 laptop -_- (odd o.O) so now all i got are 2 PS3 games the PS3 and a controller but now i have to go buy the connections to play the 2 games i just bought for it -_-

man... i just hope this isn't for real.

that sucks man. take the ps3 in for fingerprints. don't know about where you live, but here you go to the police station when you're 13 and give them your fingerprint. easy way to catch people in a small town

Wait, people give their fingerprints? Why would anyone do that? It does happen that people get in huge shit because their fingerprints got in the wrong place while they had nothing to do with it.

So if the person committed a crime, his (or her) finger prints, tattoo's, piercings, scars etc would be recorded and photographed that way if someone else say gets robber and then the victim says something like he had a skull tattoo then they could just type in black skull tattoo then they would get like 20 matches or something and 10 might be in another country at the time and 3 might already been in jail so that leaves 7 people they have to investigate and then that would save resources and time and saves a hell of alot of money.

And it can get innocent people in lots of shit just because they got a black skull tattoo... innocent people can get in lots of shit, and surprise surprise, people have been convicted of crimes they didn't commit. You might not think that's such a huge issue, but trust me it is. Let's say you get a lion tattood on your back, then some pedophile rapes a kid who only saw the lion on the back, next thing you know the police is dragging you away for raping a kid, what do you think that will happen to your life? Because trust me, unless they get the right person who gives a full confession, then everyone in your surrounding area will keep their kids far away from you.
Don't get me wrong, if used properly it can definetly help, but if everyone is so cooperative in these things, then why can't they just ask if they can take your fingerprints if you fit the profile, that way they will only knock on your door if they got some real evidence.
