Hey. Never had this problem before.
Running a recent ascent and ncdb db..
When you login you have no gear or items.
If you get gear and relogg.. everything disappears.
I tried 3 different rev's and 3 different db's they all do the same...
Is it only me or is there a fix?
I get the exact same thing, im using Rev4157 from Kameleon20, and it seems to cause the items not saving if i roll my older server onto MySQL 6.0 as well.
hmm. seems lots of people are getting this on other forums aswell. Is there a fix or what?
don't know, but i have been looking through the tables and everything is fine, all the items load when the server loads, so its not the revision that is doing it. im just guessing its MySQL 6.0 since i when i moved my rev3430 to 6.0 the items wouldnt load.

Use MySQL 5.0 not 6.0 and not 5.1

MySQL 5.0 does not work with the current revision of 4157, it gives errors when it starts saying it cant load some tables
Ok. Downloaded MySQL Server 5.0. Installs fine.. go to instance configure (setup) and it says "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application even log for more deatail." :SS But i have .NET Framwork 3.5 Installed :S
Choose Standard Configuration.
- Check Install As Windows Service.
- On the security settings, check Modify Security Settings and enter whatever you want as the password.
- Hit Next, then Execute, then Finish.
You need to un-install 6.0
Or change the name of mysql to like mysql5.0 or something in there....
Any help?

did you try making it mysql5.0 instead of mysql?
I cant get onto that config with out the error!

You want to do Typical...
- Run the executable you downloaded from the requirements.
- Choose Typical as the setup type.
- Install the program.
- When it's done installing, make sure Configure the MySQL Server now box is checked.
- Choose Standard Configuration.
- Check Install As Windows Service.
- On the security settings, check Modify Security Settings and enter whatever you want as the password.
- Hit Next, then Execute, then Finish.
Yes i know Juggalo90, Ive done it 1000 times.. But this time it wont let me get onto the configuration. it comes up with that error i attached above! Do you know how to fix ? (windows server 2008 longhorn)
