C++
VB Is Scripting Virtually Lol, Hard To Create Games And Such Using VB, Also The Syntax Is Horrible
Visual basic...
c++ is advanced... wouldnt recommend it to someone new to programming
if object, function, variable etc (the basics) seem extremely basic to you you could probably consider c++
and don is a noobeh :O
vb studio is good for making your own lil windows programs... it's NOT scripting o_O
Its Not A Programming Language Tho, You Don't Have Complete Control Or Have To Ability To Do ANYTHING With It :p
And Neo Is The Noobeh
Vc++...
Yea i know some functions so im gonna take up C++ i think
thanks fir the input guys
if its ur first programming language take VB it is easy and fun
if u already done some programming go with C++
but IMO PASCAL PWNS! :D
NoPeace - out
you can make games with vb if you're skilled enough... in fact there's nothing u cant do compared to c++, but i'll agree that if you're gonna make something worth while you're probably better off with c++
vb is more comprehensible though imo
and like mental said, vc++ :) get studio
Yeah, But VB Is Alot Slower Language Than C++ , So Games Like Doom 3 Coded In VB Would Be Practically Impossible To Play On A Very Good Computer
Action Script 2.0 :P
seriously go for c++...if u wanna learn programming than u gonna learn it someday, better learn it 2day..
it depends enitrely on what you want/need to make with it. if you just want a small challenge to play about with, learn VB6, but if you want to get into games programming or technical programming, go for VC++
Yea im gonan go to college and uni hopefully to do programming and game development so c++ is the way to go?
can anyone recommend an Ebook or book to get to learn it?

need bittorrent tho...but loads of good books...
Ok heres info on both...
VB:
RAD App development
Unconventional syntax and methods of doing things
Not fast enough for graphically intensive apps (eg games or multimedia progs)
C++:
Super set of THE original C style syntax so its easy to understand any C style language
Harder to learn and understand
Very fast and powerful
Industry standard
Powerful OOP capabilities
Requires include files for multimedia
Anything else just ask
