It would be possible but it would need recoding the source i guess. The only other possibility wich comes to my mind, if there is an stored SQL procedure wich checks if account exists on then modyfing this stroed procedure to creat an account when account does not exist. But this solution has few issues:
1) I'm not sure if souch procedure exists ( wich i doubt but i have not much recognision in recent files )
2) That would mean each time someone mistype he's account name a new would be created
yes, every time some one mistypes their user name a new acc is created. but most ppl have their names remembered by the launcher, and admins could do a clean every 1-2 weeks.
so i guess this hasn't been done before.. damn.. i could rally use something like this.
nope it hasn't been done yet i guess, as i said check if there is a stored procedure in SQL named like: Login, CheckLogin or something similar to this, if yes, then i guess that by editing this procedure you may create automatic account creation.
if i only had the slightest idea what are u talking about :)
You should say that in the begining.
In enterprise manager if you click on your MuOnline database you will see:
tables, diagrams and so, also there is one named Stored Procedures and that's what i'm talking about ;-).
What i've seen so far in 97d database there is no souch thning except WZ_CONNECT_MEMB but it looks like it's only change of a memb_stat not exact checking if account exists, so i suppose it must implemented in-game that means until you modify the source there are no chances to perform souch registrations.
What also could have been done is to create a launcher with this function instead of re-editing the client. So you have to first log in on the launcher to be able to start the main and then you would use that login to login as usual.
Launcher like this already exists, i dont know if it supports newer versions, but with SkyTeam Launcher Builder you can create own launcher with webpage displayed in it ( ex. yourdomain.com/registration.php ).
tnx for the tips. the launcher idea does seem much easier, ill try that first :)
well I didn't mean like that DanseMacabre. What I meant was without any connection to website. Just make a launcher that actually only looks like the login window for mu but a launcher?
oh...well that sounds really complicated...
