I used SyGate and installed like in the tutorials I saw and today a hacker comed and somehow managed to enter my DB and he could do anything ... Can you help me with some tips on how to make the protection better ? Thank You!

i used sygate too just block the following programs like
dataserver mu2003 event,rangking joinserver and so on the only exe to unblock is
CONNECTSERVER ,GAMESERVER,APACHEWEB
Yeah and dont forget! Dont change firewall mode to allow all coz then they will be able to blast your server...
I don't use sygate firewall and i don't need it. You can use your windows Firewall to protect your server. In server have 8 or 9 links. you need to block 6 or 7 links. Block all except don't block Connect Server and Gameserver or Gameserver_cs . And thats all. And your mu is protected.:)
ok ... i blocked all and it was on normal but i didn't block apache ... hmm is that necessary?
as i said just unblock connectserver,gameserver and apacheweb apache is for your website port 80 or what ever,other applications should be block
if you will block appserv then noone will connect to your web. Don't Your block appserv.:)

you guys ever think the hacker/exploit is not using programs like mu hack or whatever.to attack gs or other mu server things.
but what he is doing are attacking the web...
get more protection on your web server+ web script to use.
as i remmeber the php explorit works on most site.
/target.php?=//****/***_***_*** ( just a example )
will show you whole database account info including passwords.
