[HELP] Problem with Portforward!
Hey Everyone its 1337Equillbrium :D
And i have a "little" problem here, so if you could help me it would be Great :D
The Problem:
I Portforwarded all the Ports with my 192.168.x.xxx IP, with TCP+UDP Enabled, it seems like nobody can Connect to my Server, with my DynDNS Host: warofwarcraft.game-server.cc :/
When they try to connect it says: "Connecting" and "Unable to Connect"
Hmm.. Well i dont know what the Problem is :/
Please add my Email/MSN: Jewerguse@hotmail.com
Thanks alot :D!
PS. Im Using a Router!

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
did you do the c:/windows/system32/driver/etc/host file?
-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
yes you might have to write in hosts file this: 192.168.1.xxx warofwarcraft.game-server.cc
-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
I did that.. But same problem :S
-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
in most of cases 'unable to connect' is due to realm wrong ip, check your router that all ports are forwarded correclty to the right ip and that your dydns is updating it correctly, also check in you realm.conf that you changed the ip there, but i guess you did it

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
Yes i did everything right.. Same problem :/

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 192.168.x.xxx
127.0.0.1 internet ip
127.0.0.1 website
192.168.x.xxx website
internet ip website
website 127.0.0.1
website 192.168.x.xxx
website internet ip

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!

Password: 1234

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
can not connect to, in realm.conf set yourip:8129 unlike warofwarcraft.game-server.cc:8129 maybe it can be resolved, also you have to put in hosts file 192.168.1.xxx warofwarcraft.game-server.cc and maybe yourwanip warofwarcraft.game-server.cc
try that

-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
Address = "My Wan Ip here:8129"
change it to your local ip 192.168.1.xxx as your wanIp is updated by dydns and ports forwarded there, just test

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
Maybe i should change:
<Listen Host = "My 192.168.x.xxx Ip here or Dyndns Host?"
WorldServerPort = "8129"> = From Ascent.CONF
<Listen Host = "My 192.168.x.xxx Ip here or Dyndns host?"
ISHost = "My 192.168.x.xxx Ip Here or Dyndns host?"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093"> = From Logonserver.CONF
Should i try that?

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
ok i couldnt connect but here is the right thing:
1. Forward ports in router
2. Edit hosts with 127.0.0.1 warofwarcraft.game-server.cc
3. In Ascent.conf set warofwarcraft.game-server.cc as your WorldDatabase Hostname & CharacterDatabase Hostname
4. In logonserver.conf set warofwarcraft.game-server.cc as your LogonDatabase Hostname
5. In Realm.conf set warofwarcraft.game-server.cc:8129 and LogonServer Address to warofwarcraft.game-server.cc
After that you should be ok

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
What you mean with:
2. Edit hosts with 127.0.0.1 warofwarcraft.game-server.cc?
-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
in c:/windows/system32/etc/drivers/hosts file in new line write down
127.0.0.1 warofwarcraft.game-server.cc
delete any other line containing warofwarcraft.game-server.cc with other ip

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
From Logonserver.CONF =
<Listen Host = "192.168.x.xxx"
ISHost = "192.168.x.xxx"
RealmListPort = "3724"
ServerPort = "8093">
Should i change it as before?

Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
I do find it amusing that one day you post a guide on how to properly port forward to get your server publicly available and the next you post asking for help for the very same thing :)
-
Re: [HELP] Problem with Portforward!
