Death of two year old being linked to watching Pro Wrestling

His 4-year-old brother is suspected of killing him, and his mother tells News 4 that he was pretending he was a professional wrestler.

Jacqueline Davis says she came out of the shower and found her two-year-old son Jacquion unresponsive on his bedroom floor.

She says her four-year-old son told her and police that he was pretending to be WWE professional wrestler who he watches dominate opponents on the Friday night show.

The 4-year-old allegedly choked his brother with part of a curtain.

Rescuers flew Jacquion by helicopter to Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital where doctors treated him in intensive care for four days until he died Tuesday.

Sources familiar with the case tell News 4 that autopsy results could take two weeks and that a police investigation is pending.

The victim's mother says she's convinced exposure to professional wrestling played a part in the tragic murder.

Kids just have to learn. Parents also have to learn to watch they're kids, amke sure they know that the stuff isn't real, and probably not to let little kids watch something as stupid as the WWE

agreed. the company provides ample warning about viewer discretion and not imitating the stunts... its up to tha parent to enforce both of those, because the WWE cant be in every single household doing it. so to blame the wwe just doesnt make any sense. Parents: blame ur damn selves, dont let ur kids watch shit they are going to want to emulate.

Yer I heard about that story. You should always keep under 7 year olds under adult supervision at all times to prevent these type of things from happening.

Yes, entertaining story lines - a baldy twat called 'Stone Cold Steve Austin' is hit by a car driven by a fellow wrestler. He makes a dramatic return only to turn out to be a complete twat. Pro wrestling is fake in terms of storyline. But in terms of fighting and athleticism it is. If you look at the matches. Doing moves from top of a steel cage. The way they do it so perfectly. That's what pro wrestling's about.
These athletes go through hell and actually risk their lives.

Exactally...well said. Some people are so incredibly small minded its unbelievable. Some of you people only come out with the stuff you do about Professional Wrestling especially the WWE because some people think its only for immature kids/teenagers to watch. And because some of you have such low self-esteem you follow the rest of the flock.

Anyway, the fact of the matter is...Is the risk that these Professionals put themselfs in every week FAKE ? Is there Athleticism FAKE ? Yeah the WWE is pre-Rehearsed but that doesn't mean they don't physicaly ware each other out and hurt each other.


Anyways about the unfortunate accident with the child. Its the mothers fault for leaving 2 unattended children at the ages of 2 and 4 by them selfs when shes in the shower. Children at that age need constant supervision.

I just find Wrestling completely pointless and I don't see how people pretending to beat up each other by jumping off ropes and landing on them. Would you find it entertaining if you were watching a vicious bar fight happening? Who's to say they're not pretending or if it's real? What is the exact entertainment in Wrestling? If you wanna get kicks out of people fighting each other, then go fight with your brother or a friend. These Wrestlers make money out of being fakes, the whole match is fixed to go in favour of the fan's favourite wrestlers to keep ratings up and to keep that money rolling for their fake show.

I see what you're saying but people are getting payed to pretend to fight and they are leaving an impression on these kids whom have parents that don't monitor them. It's the parents fault as much as it is the WWF's fault - the parents for not monitoring the kid and WWF for even displaying the stuff. Watching people fight - even if it's fake - is pretty damn stupid.
