My anger towards world events
Doesn't anyone else find themselves clenching there fists, feeling there heart beat rapidly when they read things like the following?
- Civilians being tortured in iraq by soldiers?
- One hit (punch) kills in pubs over small things?
- A one year old baby getting killed due to a drunk driving wiping it out?
- Muslim being beaten up by 5 Christians due to his "beliefs"? (and people wonder why i tell them i don't want anything to do with religion... *sigh*).
Anyways, this morning these where just a few things that i found myself reading in the news paper & it really makes my blood boil. Does anyone else find themselves getting frustrated about things which are outside of there control but still hear/read about?
No, i am not trolling, i just wanted to know if anyone else here felt the same way as i do.
Re: My anger towards world events
Meh, didn't adapt to it though I'm living with it.
Re: My anger towards world events
dont read the news papers
work everyday to improve life
Re: My anger towards world events
just as many good things happen, it's jsut the media dont advertise it.
Re: My anger towards world events
Of course the media doesn't report wonderful things. Unless it's really important. Why? Because it doesn't sell newspapers. It's all about the money.
Re: My anger towards world events
The muslim , was a turk who delivered newspapers in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Just because he looked at some Christians, they beat him to death.
Thats fucking not okay!
But like exclamatio said: 'work everyday to improve life'
Re: My anger towards world events
Some things that happen in life are disgraceful. For example, in the news last year was a story about a gang of teenagers who beat a dad of two (or three) to death because they were vandalising his car. Its like, wtf? Innocent people like him get their head kicked in because twats like the teenagers vandalising his car feel like boxing him about. The worst part of it was, he was killed infront of one of his kids.

Re: My anger towards world events
Fucked up world we live in lmao. Nothing you can do about it except try to live with it. Sadly it will never change.
Re: My anger towards world events
The world has always pissed me off. I mean the only thing one can really do is it to try your hardest to make it better.
Re: My anger towards world events
Re: My anger towards world events
Well, they aren't really Christians then.
But, I've heard numerous news about Muslims persecuting Christians in Iraq and Iran.
Re: My anger towards world events
Humans will be humans, and as long as there is humans, there will be war.
Re: My anger towards world events
The more you think about that shit in the world, the shittier your life will become.
Not saying that you should be ignorant to it all, be aware of it, but don't think about it too much.

aye the law of attraction
Re: My anger towards world events
I do get pissed.
But rather than posting over an internet forum and whining over how things piss you off, you should actually go out there and do your part.
Whether you succeed or fail. I really dont wanna go on more about this coz it's just gonna piss me off more at you. So... Ssshh..
Re: My anger towards world events
Thanks for all the input guys & the suggestions, it's nice to know i am not the only one who thinks about this stuff.
Re: My anger towards world events
lol clenching fists... :x
I can relate too but I'm too lazy to do the protesting and what not. Best solution... become selfish. Yep, worked for me.

it bothers me every single waking day, but dont give it energy, acknowledge its existance but focus only on the good you can create mate
Re: My anger towards world events
certain things are out of your control so there's no point in thinking about them, as long as you know that these things happen and don't remain ignorant to them then you can live your own life as you see fit and try to do what little things you can to make the world a better place, it's all in the ripple effect, if your world becomes better then slowly you make the worlds of those around you better. If enough people can live like that then maybe we'll get some where.
Re: My anger towards world events
I've always lived by the concept that what is not important is how the world is, but how we see it.
Human nature itself dictates that these problems mentioned will never ultimately be eradicated. Also, don't give a bad label to religion just because of that one event. I myself am religious, but I don't consider myself a religious fanatic. I don't believe the Earth is 4,000 years old or was created in 7 days and I believe in evolution. I don't believe if I accidentally stub my toe it is part of "god's plan." The bottom line is that there are many beliefs and denominations, but you'll always have the radicals.
It might intrigue you to know how biased the news media in America is. Fox News is a super conservative news channel right smack dab in the middle of what I believe is a right-wing conspiracy. CNN is more socialist. ABC is a bit liberal, almost centrist. If you compare coverage between the three, you'll immediately notice their intense coverage of the 2008 presidential election. Fox News will almost always present John McCain is a positive light, where Obama and Hillary are either neutral or negative. CNN has all-but admitted their support for Obama by distorting Hillary Clinton's actions on the campaign. ABC, which obviously supports Hillary Clinton, spent 45 minutes attacking Barack Obama in their Pennsylvania debate, and then cut him off after he spent so much time defending himself claiming the debate was "unbalanced." More viewers of Fox News than any other news broadcaster are republican, believe we found WMDs in Iraq, and believe Saddam was behind the 9/11 attacks.
If you watch Fox News, I suggest you switch to CNN. Their coverage may be biased against Hillary, but they actually allow all of the sides to have a fair argument. Fox is a right-wing propaganda machine.
You'll also be intrigued to learn that most of the "terrorists" the United States military captures are released without charges. That bit of info just doesn't make the front page.

Disagree with this one since I'm from Cronulla (go figure), I dislike half the Lebanese in the Sutho Shire because they 'gang bash' people every weekend, its never a 1 on 1 fight with a Lebanese people around our area so when I see stuff like that I couldn't care less.

Agreed the news these days need to shape up, I was watching the news a while ago when Britney shaved her head (or it was something to do with celebrities getting married) and it was the main headline, first story then like two stories later it was 4 Soliders dead in chopper accident, its also stuck with me since I saw it and it pissed me off, the news shouldn't report on celebrities and crap like that, it should be for news not celebrity crap.
Re: My anger towards world events
Well to be honest i dont like this country much now as it gets worse over the years due to assylum seakers..i mean theres was a pakistani who was in the news the other day who had run over a 2 year old child, he got 12 months!!!
Cmon if it was a white british person who has lived here all their life they would of got like 3 years.
Also why do muslims and everyone always get their point of a story believed. if i was to call another race of person etc a name..they could get me arrested however if they called me a name then the police etc etc would just go..oh erm ok its alright.
