The shooter comes out on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, DS and PC.
It is the policy by Activision for each fiscal year a Call of Duty game from them. The Infinity Ward developed Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has greatly helped by the fact that Activision his best year ever met. It is certain that developer Treyarch, who previously Call of Duty 3 and Spider-Man 3 was now Call of Duty 5 is developing and that Infinity Ward again the sixth part will be doing in 2010.

New setting
Activision brings CoDe 5 on the same platforms as the previous section, but is now also a version for the Wii and the PS2. In addition to the new platforms is also a new setting. Activision would not say what the setting, but on the Internet unconfirmed rumours circulated about a possible return to the Second World War. The publisher promises, however, an entirely new setting.
In addition to Call of Duty 5 Treyarch has been engaged in a James Bond game that the Call of Duty 4-engine used. The game should be released this autumn along with the Bond film, The Quantum of Solace. It is likely that the Bond-game suits for the PS3 and Xbox 360 and possibly also for the PC.
