[C++, PHP, MySQL] In Search of Learning Tool
Hello everyone,
I am in search of learning tools to teach me how to become a programer. I'm not sure where to start but anything like tips, guides, weblinks would be great deal for me. I have never done any programming in my life and really want to learn every little bit of it that I can.
I tried to go to a tech college to learn how to become a programmer but they ripped me off and the 1.5 years I spent in there was a total waist of time. They gave me really dumb classes like Short Stories.... and never even placed me in classes worth the money I put towards the education. So now I am forced to learn the stuff on my own.
I know basic coding for HTML and right now can only develop web pages and currently trying to learn SQL coding but the guide that I bought is really crappy so I really just need some help on what to start off with. Should I start off with SQL stuff, or is that just to advance for a noob like me?
I would greatly appreciate the help and I really do want to try to creat my own private server and possably get to a point where I can creat my own game from scratch.
Questions:
1. Where should someone that has no programing skills at all start?
2. What resources should be used?
Thanks everyone.
[edited, I couldn't understand myself]

Re: [C++, PHP, MySQL] In Search of Learning Tool
So C# is a good point to start off at?
Re: [C++, PHP, MySQL] In Search of Learning Tool
No, C# is advanced you know the basics of HTML i suggest you move onto PHP, PHP will get you ready for C# PHP is much the same as C#.
Re: [C++, PHP, MySQL] In Search of Learning Tool
Before you can create a game from scratch will take you around 8 year if not more.
PHP is nice to start with, its quite easy and makes you understand how to code. Then you can move on to C/C++, C#, Java, Python etc.
Buy some books ;)

Well, if all he knows is html, an easier language to learn would be Javascript, then php, then C#
