Obvious, i got dutch exams today. In about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I dont want to, it's way to boring T_T
I have em too=/ nothing special..
I have HSA Test today, for the whole week actually. I hope i don't fail cause I will take it again in Senior year -.- also going to back to those boring class just to get a review!
ha. last year for my gcses, i had a flipping 12 hour exam.
that was alright though, i could lay on the floor and sleep if i wanted to.
Exams here dont let you leave early. Its usually a 3-4 hour exam and even if you finish after an hour u gotta sit there.
Did one yesterday, hated it.
Totally fucked this year up really, going to try resit it if I can.
I miss being assessed by course work. College > uni :p
only used 3 hours of my 5 hour photography exam.
I've given up hope of getting a first class degree. Seems like I'll have to settle for an upper second.
This year just ain't working for me exam wise.
/cry
/slits wrists
Sucks how much your life depends on cramming as much info into your head, then forgetting it all for the next subject.
I'm so against exams, think they should be abolished. The old style of a teacher/lecturer asking you questions was much more efficient imo, people who know there stuff would be fine while you could tell who is faking it and just tried to cram :p
Thats why i hate uni and refused to go there. Your entire future depends on your ability to remember irrelevant facts and how you perform under stressful situations such as exams. I chose to go to TAFE instead which is completely hands on instead of practical and am able to get the most out of what i am learning, and i am actually enjoying it instead of the uni students who hate every moment of it. We have no tests or exams, but a serious of hands on assignments and the odd report which we can hand in at any time during the course. By removing the deadlines it removes the stress for us so we can concentrate more on what we are doing and leaning, and especially demonstrate our knowledge.
Hmm...depends on the exam really. Usually enjoy the creative ones like Art or Graphics which I did at GCSEs.
The ones where you have to cram in as much knowledge knowing full well you only need half of the knowledge can be annoying.
Wish they were coursework or assignments ^^
I hate all of them i've got a week of exams starting 1st june :( wach 1hr 30 mins long, really, really boring
Really depends.
In high school I worried a ton, in college I progressively got more confident and realized I did my best to study and all that, so I just did the exam and left my emotions at the door.
Eventually I noticed I got pretty good grades no matter how much I "worried", so I just stop worrying.
Got GCSE's this week and the next, unless I get a B in maths and a B in English I don't get into my Biology course at college and any hopes of being a doctor walk off out the door >.<
/agree
I hate all the exams, I wish I could bunk school one day. I especially hate the SATs. =\
Well if exams are part of my future i'll accept them =/
I made an exam yesterday, took me 45 minutes of the 90 i had available ..
Going to take another one tomorrow ; Maths - =|
Exams everywhere.
Just did my English Reading Exam today.
Haha, you had it easy.
To Kill A Mockingbird and English Anthology.
i remember all the english books and anthologys...fucking sucked. And im fairly sure reading all the poems and books didnt help at all.
I've only had my 3rd Year exams (they're like dummy Standard Grade exams but they monitor how well we're doing) and I mucked up half of them, especially my Intermediate 2 Maths and English :/
I do my actual Standard Grades next year, I'd like to think I'll do well. It's the English pre-lims I'm most worried about.
Some art one.
I really hate revising. It's boring, but it never seems to help me. I actually revised for sn A level paper when I was in college, and this paper didn't have one single question on any of it, I had barely any idea what to do. Luckily I'm very good at electronics. Everyone else seemed to find it hard. Ironic since it was the easy paper. So yeah, exams are f**ked up. Some GCSE ones such as Systems & Control are actually really good though. I would prefer it if students were examined vocally. Being able to make queries about a question would be so helpful. Of course, that'd take too long and cost too much money....don't you love the government?
I decided against taking art, seems it was a smart choice.. although up here in Scotland none of my mates have at a 12 hr Art exam 0.o
I also personally like you idea of having vocal examinations of subjects, as you normally can explain something better with words than you can by writting it =D
What sane person would love exams? :eek6:
I hate exams with a passion. ;P
I just cba to study tbh. I have much better things to do. I do study though. cause i need to pass xD
My exams start tomorrow and finish the 20th of july. I just want to get over with it so I can get into computer school.
Aye, who doesn't hate exams?
I'm finishing all of mine this summer. I've got Biotechnology, Physics, Biochemistry, Literature, Bible (yes, we have to study this stuff here), another exam, in terminology, that consists of writing an article about a random subject, and finally, the last one - Civics. Gonna do the practical exam in Biotech tomorrow, and then getting rid of biochem next week. Next is physics, and then I'm done basically, only the "less-important" subjects are left - terminology, civics, and bible. Thank God, I'm already done with math, english and history.
I used to love exams back in the day actually coz I used to get kicked out of the class and suspended for being one of the most troublesome kids in school and exams were my only way I could show the finger to the lecturers. :)
haha yeah. nice one :)
im just pretty average tbh
do the exam
get a c
do another get an e
la la la de dar
I got a bunch of 2/3 hour exams coming up in less than two weeks. They're my last ever high school finals, but they will still suck, especially since most of my courses are college level.
Hold tight the person who was letting off eggy smelling farts in the exam I had this morning . You. Must. Die!
lol unlucky! probably the person infront xP
exams are good imo, when there over theres no more work and u get a break..
Yeah I saw the Int 2 exam, I could do every question in it except the sine wave and a few others. My class is so far ahead we're gonna start doing some Higher coursework within the next year ;)
The English pre-lims are my biggest worry, I'm in a Credit English class doing Int 2 (we're apparently capable of doing this) and it's difficult, I just passed my Int 2 Critical Essay. My Reading wasn't so bad, 17/30 for it. I got an overall C award :/.
The exams only have one benefit - Standard Grade exams get 4 weeks exam leave ;)
I got off light, 1hr 30mins to answer one question. I chose a question from Prose and I did it on J.B. Priestly's "An Inspector Calls". We were advised to use that play in our question, and the question I chose was about choosing a play about an important thing in society. I chose Respect, I completely missed the point of the question and I got 12/25 ^_^ Only just passed, thank christ. The Close Reading was a bit hard, it's awkward to answer some of the questions.
Btw, tell me your marks when you get them back, then we'll see if it was easy or not ;)
I hate everything related to school.
School is waste of time you could've used here on ragezone...
I so didn't like "An Inspector Calls" at the time (~2001). I found it boring. I think my exam question when I did it was something to the effect of "Who was the most responsible for Eva (<- ?) committing suicide?" and managed to splurge out a page and a half rant blaming the son.
Ah. Good times. Not.
Lol, i know. But the school im on right now.
Im too good at it.
I've been home the last half year.
Each month they'r warning me with expelling me from school.
But lol, they didnt do it yet.
And now we're having exams, every one of them i did great.
EVEN if im not coming to school when i should.
That just means i learn more here at my pc than i do at school.
well ive done all my exams already, i was pretty nervous, but i got through it :D
I got a sneak peak at my report card today, and as usual, Credit marks. Credit marks are the top marks, graded from 1-7 with 1's and 2's being Credit Level (best marks possible :3), 3's and 4's being General level (mediocre level) and 5's and 6's being Foundation (the idiot level) and ofcourse, 7 is a fail. I'm pretty pleased with myself, the only area I didn't do spectacular in was Critical Essays in English. My learning difficulties make me look at things in a different light, which makes my answers alot different from others ^_^
We had to do coursework on that, I ended up with an A rambling on for 5 pages, I must say I cannot remember fuck all I wrote in it so it was pretty pointless, I have my Business Studies exam tomorrow, if my mock was anything to go by i'm going to get an A*, that'll look good on my GCSE's, if anyone were to give a shit about business studies >.<
I'm just hoping next year's Intermediate 2 Maths is as easy as it was this year. As for Int 2 English, phailbus here I come. My best exam is most likely gonna be Computing and/or Graphic Communication, me and my friend Matthew finish the work we're given within the period. Like if we were given an isometric, a planometric and an oblique drawing, all at Credit, we'd have them done in 40-50mins. Right now me and Matthew are doing Higher Coursework on the computers using Autodesk Inventor (the newest version) and we're making an assembly drawing of a bathroom.
well im in grade 10 and i have to do grade 12+ subjects this suck getting only B straight!
A B is still good, Universities would still let you in if you get lucky.
I have to repeat exam cause a freaking picture didn't show up wtf..
No one actually doesn't hate exams.
Gotta do whatcha gotta do!
Stupid question, of course I love them.
I love exams, it makes you feel alive and screwd up :)
damn i start my 9th grade national exams on thursday :( and im not studyin a bit.
fuck u work :P
/Above: Spammer.
I dont have big exams yet, since I'm only 12, i only get tests etc.
But I think exams are quite hatefull, but once your done.. =p
I gotta sit my gcse exams starting from monday. 11 exams in 10 days :( Better start revising :P
I passed english lit a year early lol :P Did of mice and men & an inspector calls.
Oh yeh, and best of luck to everyone sitting exams :D
Yeah, I hate exams. I'm in my final exams at the moment, gotta study a lot else I will not travel this vacations /wrist
haha guys from UK
you hear about the GCSE music exam, where the answers were printed on the back AHA
AQA suck ass.
was it?
well AQA suck aswell haa,
and i have :P
Hell yeah! finished biochemistry today! The exam was easy as hell, and when I compared answers with what my teacher got at the end, it looks like I'm gonna get a pretty high grade! Huzzah for me xD
I hate Exams.. Especially when its a hot day, im in a room with like 250 other people.. So bloody hot :(
Congragulations on spamming the thread with crap.
This is the year I enter a crucial part of my Standard Grade course. I do Intermediate 2 English and if I fail just one N.A.B then I can't do the final exam  The Graphic Communications one will be so easy, I'm doing coursework that's 2 years above my level :)
I Have jus finshed my exams last week it dono bother me becausei have a scribers wich rite for me
