[PC] Suggestions

Hey, i think this can go here, if not mod do your magic =]

anyhoo to the point, i am looking for a PC game to play, and i want some of your opinions.

I want one with a single player mode with preferable online features aswell.

i would like FPS but if there is a good adventure / RPG / third person shooter, that you would highly reccomend post here.

I havent really got any pc games atm only CS:S and Half Life, both of which are now boring.

a game i was thinking about getting was Enemy Territory but not too sure, may pick it up anyway as its only

Oh and you said Half Life, You mean Half life 1 or Half life 2?
Half Life 2 is a nice one too

ET is a nice game I played it too but if you would like good graphics do not go for this one.

Im not really a graphics junkie but it helps

ill google up those games ina bit see if any interest me.
i was thinking about UT3 (theres a bundle with UT3 and all the others and its pretty cheap) but i played it on ps3 and i wasnt majorly impressed with the campaign mode.

• Doom 3 ( it is pretty good actually.)
• Halo:Combat evolved (hilarious online =P)
• Iron Man ( few hours of fun, graphics are a bare minimum.)
• Warcraft III (and expansion obv.)
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl. (amazing)
• Shadowrun ( I like it anyway..)
• Trackmania nations (free and fun)
• Dawn of war (also expansions)
• Starcraft Broodwar
• Jedi academy
• Wolfenstein ET
• Elderscrolls III: Morrowind (amazing game, regardless of graphics.)
• Far cry ( I guess it's pretty good too)

You posted Jedi Academy and Morrowind without suggesting Jedi Outcast (definitely superior) and Oblivion (can be definitely be argued). ;)

Mass Effect is coming soon to PC, which is a RPG/Shooter, it's a great game, you should definitely try it.

GTA San Andreas is the best game on PC, but needs very good computer specs. But I play it with a really laggy computer. *Hint Hint*, there's a trick to making it non-laggy. 3GB aswell. But the other game I also reccomend is Sims 2.

Oh i have mass effect for xbox, and yeah i really enjoyed it.

also shadowrun i have on xbox, thats pretty nifty.

Depends on what kind of PC you have. No use suggesting gmaes you cannot play.

I recommend:
- Gears of War
- F.E.A.R.
- Condemned: Criminal Origins
Both are horror-based FPS.

Also, since you mentioned third-person shooter. I recommend Advent Rising. It's kind of like Mass Effect except it's not very in depth. I found it pretty good.

I'm fairly sure Turions are laptop only right? In which case you shouldn't speak to soon, while i'm sure that 8600 chip can handle games pretty well, the latest games will be quite tough, besides a 8600 isn't that great, especially the mobile version.

Make sure to check the system requirements for games before you buy, and make sure to calculate in the fact that mobile videocards are less then proper desktop versions.

An 8600 will struggle (using a few I suggested) more than likely with S.T.A.L.K.E.R, however as long as he/she checks the sys. requirements before purchase then shouldn't run into any trouble, as for your CPU :hang:

yeah, well i got a PC too that has a dual core but can't remember exactly what it was.

but yeah i check the requirements and the ones that interest me atm seem ok, if they seem to be going slow or screw up a little ill just attempt to take it back or just play it on my PC (although i hardly use it as im more on the move)

Neither of them should be a problem I guess, Gohan wil quite possibly give you a little more info, but my guess is that you won't run into any problems, and I suggest Halo:Combat evolved, not 2. :tongue:

Both should run fine yes.
Canon, it's a dualcore, basicly if the videocard is enough for a game, then it's very doubtful that the processor will hold it back.

Agape, check the videocard and memory on that PC, dualcore and all is fine, but unless you know those 2, then it might just be complete crap.
