There was a banwave for WoW yesterday, almost all botters got caught, regardless of what bot they used. Blizzard to extend e-peen with announcement of how many got banned soon I bet.

I read some sort of news about this on the official forum, although I still had no idea what was going on, some people we're saying some end game raiders we're being banned but usually the wow forums talk more shit than jack thomson.
Haha! Take that you cheating bastards!
Hey guys, Lets go buy WoW, and cause we suck so bad at it, Lets use bots, and then when we get caught and banned, Lets all cry on the fourms :D
Sounds Fun to me ;]
Funny enough, most botters don't do it because they suck. It's because of two reasons.
1) They can't stand the horrible grind of 1-70 and want to just do the endgame raids with their friends, which is much more fun. Doing 1-70 once is alright, but after that it's a chore.
2) Greed
The 1% of people that are left over just suck at WoW and want to show off their e-peen botted gear.
He probably means he made money before he got banned, selling accounts/gold. People buy the accounts for a nice amount of money and its not hard. But the Warden detection system happened to get passed MMOGliders "Tripwire" and Innerspace Openbot's "ISXWarden" system, Their systems are being updated and coded even stronger so something like this doesnt slip. Its how it happened last ban wave, last year. One of Blizz's updates slipped passed the detection and banned a bunch of people.

Indeed, win-win for them. They also did a very interesting move. They did the banwave on the release day of AoC. A risky move, as they can either lose a lot of revenue by doing that or gain a lot.
Theory behind them gaining revenue is they get to ship all the "cheaters" to another MMO, and a MMO that has just been released and is suddenly plagued by cheaters can be ruined very, very fast and go out of business. In the end that means more WoW subscriptions.
Well, im happy to hear that some bots got banned, it was way crowded in Hakkar, but oh well...
Really Weird That Big Company Still dont have a good HackerShield >.>
Will Goodluck for those Banned without REAson :P sometimes happens !
Tbh I really don't see the point of people botting or paying for their characters to be leveled, getting from 1-70 is the most fun part. It gets extremely boring after that.
Botters used to piss the hell out of me! Glad they got rid of a load.
Im thinking of getting into WoW. Not sure if my laptop can handle it though ;P may need a new graphics card. and i might not get into it cause i cba to put a shit load of time into 1 quest xD So im in a canundrom. Ill see after i get my new HD and external HD/
for now you are demodded, it saddens me to see people cheating on an MMO
