Remote MuMaker
I've been seeing alot of people complaining about how to remote MuMake aka MuEditor but they just can't seem to find the right guide. So today I am going to teach those people how to remote MuMaker. This step by step guide will contain both words and screenshots for you all to use and enjoy. Shall we begin?
MuMaker
File Front
Step 1: First you will have to download MuMaker from the link(s) provided above.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/6...upstep1tb7.jpg
Step 2: Once you have chosen the link you want to download MuMaker from you must save MuMaker.rar into you Desktop for fast access. To do so you click on the Download button and a window will pop up. Click Save and click Desktop, then click Save again.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/9...upstep2jq7.jpg
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/3...upstep3wv4.jpg
This is what it should look like while you are waiting for it to download.
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7...upstep4ly8.jpg
Step 3: When your download is complete, go to your desktop and look for MuMaker.rar. Right click on it and click Extract Here.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/9...upstep5wc0.jpg
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/5...upstep6qp7.jpg
This is what it should look like while it's extracting.
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/5...upstep7mn6.jpg
Step 4: Once MuMaker.rar is done extracting you will see a new folder on your Desktop called MuMaker.
This is what the inside of your folder should look like.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/7...upstep9ib8.jpg
Once you have opened your folder launch MuMaker.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/3...upstep8ij6.jpg
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9...pstep10ug6.jpg
Step 5: Once you have launched MuMaker let it load across your screen. It should look like this.
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/1...pstep11wk4.jpg
After it's done loading this is what you should get.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/5...pstep12lp3.jpg
Step 6:
Once everything is all loaded up click on Config near the top right corner of MuMaker.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/7...pstep13fj2.jpg
Step 7: Now we are almost done, but this is the most important part of configuring your MuMaker. When you press Config you should see something like this.
http://img374.imageshack.us/img374/7...pstep14kh5.jpg
Key
1) Enter the server's name here
2) Enter your server's SQL User Name
3) Enter your server's SQL Password
4) If you are using MuMaker on the same computer you built it on check Local if you're remoting check Remote
5) Enter your server's IP Address (Put in your Global Wan IP if you're using a router)
6) If you are using MD5 check MD5
7) Leave it as it is
8) Leave it as it is
9) Leave it as it is
10) If your server is using more then 1 Vault then check Extra WareHouse and the numbers of banks you have
11) Make sure the check box by Reset System is checked other wise do not change anything there
12) Select your language
13) Pick your server's version
14) Leave as it is
Step 8: To make sure your remote editor works correctly you must open ports 1433 TCP/UPD
This is the end of my guide I hope this helps. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

When you first installed SQL it ask you to chose a username or leave as default if you picked default user it would be "sa" for Login User. As for the password it should be the password you entered in while installing SQLEVEL. If you still don't understand me please reply here and I will guide you through your needs.

MuReg.exe? I never heard of this maybe you can fill me in. Well about your problem if you are using this editor on local host then you check local port leave it as 1433. Make sure your username is sa if you checked default while installing SQLEVEL.

#Gnomix> Did you forward port 1433 to your pc? (If you got a router)'
-
Re: [Guide] Remote MuMaker
Don't know what forward a port is, but I don't have a router. Can Sygate fw be a problem?

What about other fw's ?
Also the computer wich needs to connect to the server needs the port forwarded.

Re: [Guide] Remote MuMaker

Re: [Guide] Remote MuMaker
Look guys what happened...
When i used the mumaker i couldnt connect remotely...what i did was to change the port from Server Network Utility>TCP/IP>Details .. there i changed default port to something else... i restarted service manager and i put the new port to mumaker... all worked fine... EXCEPT THE GS,and i realised that i couldnt connect.. checked the details on firewall and i saw that gs uses 1433 port to connect or something...does anyone know how can i set in gs the port that i put in SQL NETWORK UTILITY SETTINGS??
Thanks..

Re: [Guide] Remote MuMaker
you must enable the port mumaker uses in the remote computer's firewall or else you'll get timeout / errors

Re: [Guide] Remote MuMaker
to solve the connection problem is simple to update the sql server to service pack 3..

You can change the remote port in MuMaker config..
If your afraid of being hacked, edit only on the local computer.
