Need help with graphic cards
OK, so it's like this. I'm buying a new PC this week, or next week, and for the budget I have available, it's the only one which is good enough and I can afford. Anyway, the rest of the details doesn't matter. Thing is, this PC comes with an integrated graphic card, but for an additional payment, I can have them put a different card with the PC (Which will be not integrated of course).
Now, the thing is, I'm pretty much a n00b when it comes to hardware, so I need someone to recommend me a good graphic card with which I'll be able to run the games of 2008, or at least most of them, on good quality. But, I don't want it to be too expensive, so if anyone could help me with this matter I'll be thankful.

Re: Need help with graphic cards
Can you give me the prices more or less of those you mentioned there?

OK, thanks for the info man. I think I might go for the GeForce 8800GT. It's not as expensive as I expected it to be.

Umm... If you can, wait. New stuff comes out in 2-3 weeks (depending on the company).
NoPeace - out
Re: Need help with graphic cards
Nope... it doesn't really depend on me, so I can't really wait. I asked one of my friends who's a total professional hardware geek, and he advised me to go for a GeForce 9600 series. From what he said, and what I heard from other sources, this card is just a bit worse that the 8800GT when it comes to performance, but the 9600 is waaaaaay cheaper. So, I think I'll go for that one, or for a 8600. Turns out that the 8800 can be very expensive here, even more than what tomie321 said.
