Alright, i have reinstalled and installed both appserv and mysql MULTIPLE times, but i can never get it to work when i go to http://localhost/phpmyadmin, not sure why, it just comes up with "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage" Am i doing something wrong? please help :(

Try with http://localhost/phpmyadmin/
The backslash is important.

hah yeah, haydz was correct, my apache didnt start up, says error on line 495 of http.conf
that line states:
LogFormat "%h %l %u %t /"%r/" %>s %b /"%{Referer}i/" /"%{User-Agent}i/"" combined
(not sure if that means anything to you)

we got it solved, not sure what exactly was happening, but a fresh instal fixed it.
