13 yr. old commits suicide after being bullied on the Internet

Wow, never really actually hit me till now. I bash on the Internet a little but never have I thought that something like this could happen...

'We know some bullying has been going on. We do not want to attack the school, as they have been very good, but we are very upset it has come to this.' - heh... it's always like this. untill something happens and then they're all very, very sorry :/ pity.

Yeah someone posted a picture of the newspaper report yesterday I think it was.

But it said 4chan last time.

low self esteem, parents should have played a more active role in the kids development, i doubt his suicide was purely down to some abuse from 4chan, although its mostly full of dicks it cannot take the full blame

Thats why kids should play outside, and parents should watch more for their children.

Even so, I listen to a lot of what you guys would consider 'emo' and it in no way effects how I think of life / myself and in no way influences my thoughts to be thinking of suicide / unhappiness.. lol

Never really got the whole suicide thing, unless some1 had your family tied up and a chainsaw to their face, but chances are their gona kill em anyway.
I believe that if you have a problem with someone. so serious that your gona commit suicide over it. At least take the people with you. Then maybe after reading about that incident some bullies would change their mind. "bullied child commits homocide then suicide" :P.

Watched kidulthood other night. The girl in there commited suicide 2, but she got bullied in real life, not over a computer, which i have to say is the stupidest way ever. :)

it is the stupidest way to bully a person, but one guy can be resistant to your insults and stuff and the other will go sit in the corner.
i still can't understand it... how can you feel so depressed because of this? maybe the guy that bullied him was small and tiny that a louder scream would scare the shit out of him? in iternet you have no face, no body... in most cases you can't see the person you're talking to... you can be everyone and they can be everyone...

I also don't think that it was just the bullying, it could be the split up of his parents aswell, I remember I had some rough feelings when my parent's broke up, not suicide wise but it does play an enormous impact in your life.

That's when you know, that you're a little too into the internet.
Pretty much agree with ex's comment. There are more issues at play, that would cause him to be affected so much by a bunch of people on a certain website.
