middle school, middle school, middle school.....OH YEAH! that's basically an entire school that takes up the begining or our secondary school. lol the american system always made me laugh.
Eh.. I've never gone to a middle school. Here, we go straight from 6th grade to the high school in 7th. Our high school is 7-12 so meh. =p

depends on what month you're born in really but the general rule of thumb is that the american grade is one year lower than our equivalent, so 8th grade is year 9.Quote:

From what I'm hearing hearm middle school = Key Stage 3
and high school must be Key Stage 4, yes?
I think the Scottish equivalent to the English year system is sorta similar. I'm in my 4th year at High School, we just call it S4 or 4th Year, which I think is Year 11 in England.
KS1 = Nusery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2.
KS2 = Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6
KS3 = Year 7, Year 8, Year 9
KS4 = Year 10, Year 11 and Sixth Formers (If you have them)
6th Form is the last year, so that means I'm in Year 10. Our 6th formers are just S6 or 6th Year.

I finish Year 10 on Friday. To be honest I completely slacked off Years 7, 8 and 9 so I worked my ass off this year and I'll have to do the same next year.
