What a shite birthday

It's my birthday today. To be completely honest I think it was a waste of time. In the morning I went to the beach and got horrible sunburn all over my shoulders, my back, and my face. Then my friends had the idea to go walking over a mountain, leaving me behind to chase after them for two miles across a mountain, a natural pool full of mud and a pebble beach, not to mention the wasteland between each one.

When I finally caught up I found them sitting in a bar, having blown all our money on a bottle of Malibu, which they then proceeded to drink.

Eventually we got home, and went out for a pizza. That was fine until they decided to go to the bank and get out 100 Euros (160 Dollars or 80 Pounds) which they spent on two pathetic hats, two bottles of Malibu and two bottles of Coca-Cola. They got me an ice-cream.

Now we're home again, and I just found out that I have to go to work in the morning down in some bar owned by friend's uncle, just because he's understaffed and needs to pull in completely random people to help.

This is pathetic, I'm not getting up tomorrow at 7 AM and working until midnight, thank you very much. I normally don't care at all but I haven't spent more than four hours sleeping this week, and I was planning to catch up on that tomorrow.

I'm not celebrating my birthday next year.

However bad it goes, Birthday's are still meant to be celebrated.
In the end life fucks us all, so the rest seems real small if you ask me.

Don't go to the pub and work then if you don't want to, if he's pulling in random people that's illegal in itself, don't you need a licence to work in a pub, especially since you'll need to be operating the tills, as Kyle said what pub would be open 7 am to midnight anyway on a sunday o_O.

Don't forget that I'm in Spain, where bars can do whatever they damn well want to. Over here there's no such thing as license needed to work in a bar - alcohol has much more liberty here than it does in the UK, hence my 15 year-old friends being able to buy two bottles of Malibu without having to present any form of ID.

Sunday is market day which means that it'll be three times as busy as it normally is - and we work 10am to 3pm, then we're on a break until 5pm (I'm told that it can sometimes be 6, depending on how busy it is). After the break we go back in and work again until 11. I've worked there on two previous occasions..

Also we got the money out of the bank BEFORE we went for a pizza, lol.

You've misinterpreted that sentence, I suppose that's down to me not wording it clearly enough. The IDEA of going for a pizza was fine - but they decided to go to the bank first.
