Yeah, I got a text message from +44762480025, but I have no idea who it is because I never give out my number

What are they?

Your network service provider has a big list of all their customer's numbers, they probably got it from there (the big list is the directory, a bit like the Yellow Pages),

I reckon it's one of those SMS scams, when you reply they set you up for a service that costs like 20p a text or something.
