[Server help] What server to buy?
Hey guys, I'll be honest, a bit new to running my own dedicated server so I got a couple questions, searched for a bit and didn't really get complete answers. :(
connection (10mbit fiber, no traffic limit) :

Connection should be ok but how many people can be on at the same time with an upload speed like that? I'm guessing over 300? 400? more? :o
Now for the serious question, I should be able to run a server from that connection but I don't really have a server yet, thinking of buying a new machine but don't know where to start looking :o
Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated :D
*edit*
Almost forgot, in terms of cost anything that can support the same amount of people the connection can handle should be ok for me...I hope :o
ps :
Currently testing out blood knight repack v5 and chances are I'll be using that or something similar (big thumbs up to DBKT btw for the cool repack :D)
Re: [Server help] What server to buy?
www.Vpsland.com Thats good for a low prices./ i wouldent spend any money on host if i was trying to go plubic w/e on a repack o.O
and it also depends on the Host Specs
Re: [Server help] What server to buy?
I'm not going public on a repack, I'll be doing a lot of changes before it goes public and besides that I don't have to spend any money on host, got that covered.
All I need are answers to my questions...

Re: [Server help] What server to buy?
so u want to buy a serve to have it at home or want to rent one.. and no worries about ur speed.. u can host even 20.000 players splited on 4-5 realms (the server only needs to send and get texts - strings - from players and these are very low sized strings)
Re: [Server help] What server to buy?
What? could not understand nothing of that o.O

Oh really? Well I don't have plans of getting over 1000 players... not yet anyway.
