watch-movies.net. if I downloaded a movie I'd use a program that supports all video tags but doesn't require to much CPU usage so I made a small media player in Delphi :P but overall Windows media player 11...
Windows Media Player Classic.
VLC. Plays EVERYTHING except for .rmvb and .flv - and i just use xillisoft for those to convert them to .avi
VLC even plays movies that have been archived in .rar or .zip files. how cool is that o.O
Agreed. VLC is the one and only program for video! No codecs needed and a clean nice UI. Well for the .rmvb and .flv files they aren't that common and IF you need to see one of those just do as Rishwin said :)

And if you need to play rmvb files use Real Alternative.

For me, it plays .flv too. But I use Media Player Classic for .rm and quicktime.
Yeh mine plays .flv but not very well ; if you try to skip forwards sometimes it will start back form the beginning or not work at all. So i always end up converting them to .aviQuote:
