I've just had some inspiration and decided to make a simple wallpaper at 1650 x 1080
It consists of 2 layers, one for the gradient in the background and another for the picture in the middle, simple 7 px border added to the image and a drop shadow applied

I dont know who it is and i was going for simple, simple works just asmuch as over complicated :o
Maybe add some Vector Brushes around the box in the centre.
dont want to overkill it with pointless vectors/brushes

Having something simple is good but that is just too simple.
It won't over kill it to actually work on it... Show your tallent dude.

when i was refering to overkill it was ment to be overcomplicated, i like your attempt on imporving the simplistic wallpaper but i personnally wouldnt want it on my desktop
