I am trying to get my friend to have access to my database, but obviously do not know how to do it. I was told to just give him the ComputerName\SQLEXPRESS so I did that and that doesnt work. He is not on my local network he is in a totally different state then me. How can I give him access to my database.

Tell him to tick Windows Authentification, then use the knight//knight or sknight//qlfjajrmf6 login.
We have tried that already. He is still unable to log in. Like I mentioned before he is not at my house. I would understand how that would work if he was here at my house but he isnt. Is there a program that is suppose to be running? Is the server suppose to be running?
