Flawz was right, it was being unsuccessful.
In SOTW 4, there were 4 people who entered, and 1 person who actually read the rules and had the right size signature. I could also not do much without my rights.
So... It was deleted.
Next time, follow the rules, aye?

Nope, only 4, and 3 of them didn't follow rules. But I had no rights, so i couldn't remove their posts or anything (2 of them refused to crop to correct size)Quote:

Signature of the Month would only work cause you don't get that pressure of having to keep making a new signature every week. Plus, you get an ideal amount of time to learn a new style and get better at what you do. It also makes losing less "painful".
What I've learned from previous attempts:
- Themes restrict the amount of people that want to join
- Prizes makes everything a whole lot more fun
- Event needs to be advertised, lack of people sucks
- Same winner every week makes the SOTW\SOTM uninteresting
- Beginners hardly have any chance of winning
- Friendship over actual skill when voting
- Random people magically appear when voting
But reality is - this is not a graphic designed forum. It's still an MMORPG forum and there's hardly anything we can change about that. The Portfolio will always be a lesser section and regulars tend to leave due to lots of bitching and whining. Unless the prize was a custom user title even a Signature of the year wouldn't last long.
But with a signature of the month would you have a month to hand in your work?

Would we have a certain amount of people?
I'm not saying there will be a SOTM, I've got enough stuff to take care of myself. But I'd imagine it would be announced once a month with a weeks deadline.
How about instead of scheduled SOTW/M/Y, make it random. Like whenever a mod feels like making a battle. They can give out small prizes and stuff like that. Just a suggestion.
