Man City

Well since transfer deadline day Man City have got very lucky since they have a new owner from Dubai who is Supposedly worth 10 times more than Abramovic from Chelsea.

And since they have these new owners they have already spent a British record signing for Robinho from Real Madrid.

And in the January transfer Window they are going to try and get the likes of Fabregas,Kaka,Ronaldo and Torres are all the owners targets.
I really do think in a year or 2 they will achieve alot then they ever had and they will be competing with the likes of United.Chelsea and Arsenal in the top 4.

Its great, more money so they can spend more on training,scouting etc and theyll probs have a better team.

It's football anything can happen. It has plus points and down points. One of the plus points is that it makes football more balanced beter players = better football and that's what we all love to see.

Does anyone else think football is getting a bit stupid what with multi millionaire buying clubs and sinking huge amounts of money into them. It's getting to the point that normal clubs just can't hope to compete.

I really think there should be some limit to how much money can just be given to a club to be able to buy whatever player they want. Being able to buy half the best players in the world should not be allowed, ever. It should be based on how much the club brings in itself, through tickets and merchandising. It seems supporters don't really need to *support* the club now because the owner foots the bill, and why not if you are a billionaire?

Roll on Microsoft buying some random small town club and getting the top 11 players and just steam rolling the crap out of everyone. It's all down to money now, rather than a lot of luck. Which imo sucks :(

Why? A clubs success should has something to do with fan support bringing in the money rather than some random outside source that goes and buys the club because they have more money than sense.

Meh, I just think it's unfair. Just wonder who is going to end up owning Newcastle with Mike Ashley selling it. Not sure how Geordie's would react to a foreigner, but I guess anything is better than Ashley. Really hope the next owner brings back Keegan personally :p

It's true what you say. But withouth these owners United, Liverpool, City, Chelsea would collapse and lose their players and it wouldn't be the strongest competion as of this moment. That's my statement. But as you see (England didn't qualify for the EC) which weans they lack quality which is weird for such an footballing country I guess they need to foreign stars.

That's exactly my point, 4 clubs fighting it out in a league of 20? What do the other 16 have left to fight for? Not getting relegated? lol...
I think it would be a more interesting league if every team was more evenly matched, and hell English players only would breed better English platers imo! We lack quality because the players who should be stars are replaced be foreigners who take over. Why should I play my best when that guy over there is already carrying us?

It's not all about the league. Europian, the Cup(s) they all want it. Other teams would be doomed too it's not just the best team that have rich owners they ''all'' do but they lack reputation/history to attract good/top players.

Btw; I just named 4 quickies but Arsenal and Spurs(judging on their selection and not the rank table at the moment) both have a good shot.

Even though Man City got Robinho, they cant really rely on that only player. That is why they got trashed by Chelsea even though Robinho did score a sweet goal lul.

Kaka will never be sold until he runs out of that juice that makes him unstoppable (A.C Milan was offer a blank check by city and Chelsea) and they denied the offer.

The same story goes to C.Ronaldo, we know for a fact he was offer 69 million euros was it? plus robinho from Real Madrid, Denied.

Torres won't be sold that easily, only reason he was sold by atletico madrid was money issue (25 mill euros was it?) and we know he as a great future, liverpool will not let him go easily, trust me.

but after all you said it yourself, this is football, the most unexpected sport in the world, so anything can happen.

Not true at all, Look at Barcelona right now, they spend 30 Million euros for Dani Alves and Thierry Henry for 25 Millon, they Haven't won La liga for 2 years now. Look at Monaco as well, finish second in the champions league 04, Porto ended up winning that year.
Big clubs bring players to boost up their income.

Good Players dont make a good Team :P
