Scientific Method and the SI System
For those that have nothing else to do >.>
Hi I'm back again:
Those who wanna help stay in this thread:
Tell me if any of these answers are wrong; please no midless spam
This is counted as a quiz (no I'm not lazy I've went over it using my own knowledge over and over again to see and came up with the following):
1. In an expierement, one B. Variable is tested at a time to determine how it affects results.
A. Control B. Variable C. Problem D. Observation
2. The A. Procedure describes the use of equipment and materials in an expierement.
A. Procedure B. Conclusion C. Control D. Problem
3. A C. Variable is the part of an experiement that provides a reliable standard for comparison.
A. Procedure B. Theory C. Variable D. Control
4. The information already recorded about a scientific subject is the scientific A. Record.
A. Record B. Method C. Technique D. Expierement
5. B. Data are the recorded facts and measurements from an expierement.
A. Procedures B. Data C. Theories D. Inferences
6. The commonly used unit in the measurement of temperature in the Biology laboratory is the B. Celsius
A. Kelvin B. Celsius C. Fahrenheit D. Boiling Point
7. The B. Second is the unit of time in the SI System.
A. Day B. Second C. Minute D. Hour
8. A B. Variable is a fixed quantity used for comparison.
A. Procedure B. Variable C. Standard D. Prefix
9. A scale commonly used by scientists for measureing temperature is the B. Celsius scale.
A. Degree B. Celcius C. Boiling Point D. Fahrenheit
10. Standards are important for comparing observations and are used A. by everyone.
A. by everyone B. Only in tropical rainforests C. Only for counting things D. Only in scientific experiements
11. 50 cc of water would equal which quantity? B. 500 mL
A. 5000 mL b. 500 mL C. 50 mL d. 0.5L
As you can see I already answered the questions and again I'm just making sure if it's right
Reason why I posted here: Cause I got nothing else to do and you probably got nothing to do too...
And it would be nice to help someone out
Did i mention it counts as a quiz grade ;D

3. A C. Variable is the part of an experiemtn that provides a reliable standard for comparison.
A. Procedure B. Theory C. Variable D. Control
I'd say that would be the control. That is what you compare everything to.
6. The commonly used unit in the measurement of temperature in the Biology laboratory is the B. Celsius
A. Kelvin B. Celsius C. Fahrenheit D. Boiling Point
Don't know much about a biology lab but at electronics we always used Kelvin.
8. A B. Variable is a fixed quantity used for comparison.
A. Procedure B. Variable C. Standard D. Prefix
Not very well thought out question imo, I think it's standard personally.
10. Standards are important for comparing observations and are used A. by everyone.
A. by everyone B. Only in tropical rainforests C. Only for counting things D. Only in scientific experiements
Bad question really, it depends on the standard. Some are covered by trade secrets and thus not everyone could use them. I would personally go with by everyone, but stick a footnote in saying technically it depends on the standard :p

Lol... My teacher's gave me these questions I just answer them ;D
Thanks for the help

kelvin is the standard unit of temperature used in chemistry but the commonly used unit is Celsius. but everything else you said is true :P

Really......
Thanks I already had Celsius...
>.< I was about to change it to Kelvin
