Do you like banning users?

I mean, tons of the users that browse this forum actually have/had some sort of server and are able to ban users. Do you enjoy it? I enjoy banning people on my Mu server but I truly hate to ban users here, in the 2 years I've being a mod/supervisor/reddy I banned like 5 users. Today was one of those days. I now feel like not browsing for the entire day due to a noob that got angry cause I deleted a thread with links to Windows and other stuff and gave him 1 infraction point while the mod that reported it asked for a ban at sight. Am I being to nice? Or are some users stupid upto that level?

Now back on topic... do you like banning users? Does it make you feel p4w3rfu11?

Tbh it would piss me off more than the actual user. Same things goes for infractions/warnings. I embrace a policy that makes both users and me happy and its been going great for me. But for when it comes to the point where i have to actually infract people, I buckle down and do it. Or I beg Alfons on msn to do it for me xD

i really dont like banning users, i would only ban users for a good reason. If you go mad with infractions the players hate you and stuff.

If they deserve it, then I find great pleasure in it. If they seem like a nice person that simply did a few things wrong, then I'll try my best not to ban em.

I've yet to ban a single person...ever in anything =P This includes two private servers and four forums.

Don't really mind it, bit weird but I've infraction banned a fair amount of accs and I'm only mod in anime section lol...

I used to administrate a server back in 2004 but i was not happy banning people, though i knew it was right for their actions because they are breaking the game rules that we had set to make everything balanced and fair. In the end, that user had friends on the server asking and tell us both (me & the owner) that what i had decided was unfair. He didn't agree and then led to at least half of the population of the server a loss, because of that one person. He attempt to hack the server but failed, and then he was real life friends with a group of 5 people that played it and they started spreading this 'action' around saying we are rubbish admin's and it took everyone with us.

In the end we had just came to a close because we was hosting 24/7 and only 10 users ever went online a month after we lost half of our members.

The forum i host now is pretty much empty because of the amount of times i had changed it, and i wouldn't want to ban anyone on there because of how empty i feel it's going to get.

I know what its like to log on and see that private message window pop up saying you have recieved an infraction. When I became a mod, the first thing I told myself was that instead of infracting people for doing something against the rules, I would give them chances and hopefully they learn. Its going pretty well right now and the users seem to like it too.

I only ban people if they ask for it and you know what I mean with that

I hated banning people on my Maplestory server because that means they were doing something they weren't suppose to do.
