Ifconfig is the way to find the centos ip. If you didn't actually know darkhudas then good research and well done for helping out ;)

we have tried changing it into ISO img so it will run in the Centos installation but wer failed we got some error me like centos cash someting so we just have to find some Centos Installer 4.5 or 5.1 may be
got any advice for us chumpy? we will appreciate it :)
thanks in advance
Centos 4.7 CD or DVD images can be got for free from centos.org. All are direct links and are reasonably fast.
When installing to vmware and you set up your vm make sure you pick the latest "red hat" kernel setting it has. Centos 4.7 need about 3 ~ 3.5GB minimum for a virtual hard disk.
Also remember that vmware server is free and workstation is not. Go for vmware server 1.7 as 2.0 is very different. Serials for vmware server are free but you do have to request them on the download page at the top.

where can i find this root@localhost:var/lag/cabal/ ?? sorry because it is so very different from making ran server. help me please mr moderator. thanks
i find the terminal in centos and the i type su - root then my password then the bash prompt appear.. and then i type ifconfig and the list of my IP appears. So now i found what my CENTOS IP is but my next problem is when i start and input my centos IP in winSCP it says that :
http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/1538/errorng6.th.jpghttp://img509.imageshack.us/images/thpix.gif
Now we have the same problem
same here i have a same problem as yours
network something error
i think our problem is on the bridge connection or we miss an important settings when we are installing centos.. i install/uninstall my centos for the 3rd time but still i got the same error. :(
Connection refused means that you did get an answer from the server so i think your centos firewall is on. Under the menus look for "security level" and switch it off. If it was a bridging problem it would be a general "connection timed out" error.
but i untick the "firewall on" setting when i am installing the centos 4.5. what must i do now sir? really need your help.. thanks
EDIT: i can ping my CENTOS IP in terminal.. does it mean that i have an internet connection in centos?? btw, do i have to use my IP in hamachi when the centos ask for an IP? i am using a modem, not a modem/router..
everytime i try to login in winscp it always says that network error: connection timeout.. what does it mean?
*bump*
i really need your help guys.. i search and download all the movie guides here and i read almost all the post here but i cant see the solution on my problem.. really need help guys please.. sorry for bumping
I should have watched my mouth and not said/talked shit to DeadlyData telling him things like your are not welcome here because then I become the one who is truly not welcome here.
If you don't have a router then you don't need hamachi. You will also probably want the settings for the virtual network card on your virtual centos to be set to NAT instead of Bridged.
You should enter the centos ip when connecting to centos with winscp.
@cypher sorry sir
@chumpywumpy
thanks for the reply. i think my connection on my virtual centos is set to NAT because i see it when i view the setting while i am installing the centos.. ill try to search until i figure out how to solve my problem and post it here after im done.. thanks for the help guys..
anyone come up with a solution to the problem cause i have it too
