There isn't much on the website.
Information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Theft_Auto:_Chinatown_Wars
Gameplay
Chinatown Wars is structured differently than previous games in the series. Instead of having a behind-the-player camera or top-down camera, Chinatown Wars uses an isometric camera angle. Chinatown Wars also uses cel-shaded polygons with black borders, unlike its counterparts. The title takes place in the Grand Theft Auto IV rendition of Liberty City with different routes. Huang Lee will be able to recruit gangmembers from the streets and hire them in his own gang. The game will also feature a Tattoo mode. Unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, you have to disable as many cop cars as you can to get the cops off you instead of just escaping a zone. The user interface is also said to be designed like a user interface of a PDA.
Social Club
Chinatown Wars has been confirmed to use Rockstar's Rockstar Games Social Club. However, the only known feature at this time is that players will be able to upload their gameplay statistics via the Nintendo DS's built-in Wi-Fi.
GTA Chinatown Wars will be out for Nintendo DS... only.
For now, there are no screenshots of it. But when there is, I will update this topic.

gta style habbo hotel no thanks

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Rockstar game is just getting so out of hand with ideas, I mean GTA is getting old. GTA4 was like the best game that ever was created. Rockstar needs to think of a new idea to feature in these kind of games.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
How do you figure that GTA4 was the best game ever creater? They removed many of the things that made Vice City and San Andreas so damn good. Imo GTA4 was a huge dissapointment, don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, but it should have been much more, not less then previous games.

I'd have to agree with you on that, Vice City was better than GTA4 imo.

Definetly agree. San Andreas had the option to explore 3 different types of landscape (desert, city and countryside) and Vice City... well, dunno what to say about VC. GTA V (if it's ever made, which it probably will) should hopefully be a big improvement from GTA IV.
But GTA on the DS? Should be annoying to play.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
they haven't released GTA4 on PC and they are making Habbo style GTA lol...

Vice City had for example property you could buy, which i missed in GTA4. GTA: SA had even more, like stores and all you could buy, with their own missions etc etc.
What disappointed me so much was the fact that not only very few things were added, but that such fun things were removed. I had expected the game to expand on that, that you could buy more property, maybe buy buildings and that for example you would have to go after rent from time to time because some people won't pay up. It's just 1 of many, another would be to be able to buy land and build something there (this could be a basic thing, but that you could basicly buy a house and add garages, landing platform etc to it)
They could have done so much more to give us choices to customize our game a little, to give us the choice how we play etc.
But instead those things were removed. A real shame.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Half the countries are banning this game, i know this is deffinate for australia.
You can actually go around selling different types of drugs. Nice game for kids fucktards, i just lost all respect i had for Rockstar, who puts that shit in games?
-
Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Ehm... you are making a big deal about drugs? Did you forget that 1 of the main things in GTA is killing people?

Ah, I loved the whole buying up property and running a business thing. To minimize the roleplay things they had in GTA:SA and GTA:VC was a bad move, it's what made the game great. You could make the character 'yours' in some sense. Yeah you can still buy clothes but not to the huge extent in which SA had.
I miss the countryside the most. Too much city in GTA IV, get's very bleak and annoying.

A group of Scottish computer nerds, believe it or not. Some guys from Dundee set up DMC Design in Dundee and made of course GTA, and some weird zombie game and a good couple of other violent games. Rockstar Games see a market in it, buy out DMC and of course profit from murder and drugs. It's not just GTA that does it. Manhunt went too far with it, The Warriors has alot of killing and many other games.
Supply and demand, that's what it's all about.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
GTA IV was the best? You're completly wrong. GTA SA was the best GTA game developed by Rockstar Games, GTA IV was a failure. Although the features were quite good and more realistic, the main thing which is bad is the map. It's smaller than San Andreas' map, and its based on Liberty City. Why didn't Rockstar base it on San Andreas instead and continue from that game instead of Liberty City? Also, why are you lot getting Habbo involved in this? Just because I have threads made in that shit section, don't mean I still go there. I left Habbo 1 month ago, it gets boring. What I like better is GTA games, and other Rockstar games. If you want to talk about gay Habbo, make a new thread for it.

I agree with you there, Laz-low. San Andreas has a better, bigger map and many places to explore, and find weapons etc. Vice City is nothing compared to San Andreas, its more based on Tony Montana (Scarface). But the Vice City mansion is quite nice actually! There are rumours of GTA V on YouTube, but most of them are fake and some are random. Let's just hope when GTA V is released, it'll be a great success... possibly better than San Andreas. And also, playing a GTA game on a DS is quite tough, because I rarely play on a DS, the buttons on it are tiny.
When this new GTA game; Chinatown Wars comes out, I highly doubt over 500+ million people will buy it, but hearing that its structured differently it may be quite good. But who knows? We'll have to wait and see.

Exactly. I havn't seen much people saying GTA4 was great, infact... Ive seen more videos on YouTube that say "GTA4 is crap". There are rarely any videos which say "GTA4 is the best!!!!!111!!". GTA4 just loses its fun when completing it, even when you start all over again. It just don't feel the same. Ive completed GTA SA alot of times, I still play for the fun of it. It doesn't get really boring on PC version, because then you can download mofications. GTA SA was the successfull game ever, IV was the 2nd worst (because the GTA birds-eye view games sucked also.) But IV was quite good, well, thats when I played it for the first time ofcourse. Before GTA4 even came out, I thought it would be better, because of looking at the things in the trailers. But now look, everyone, including my friends (in real life) say its boring.

What do you expect? The game is rated 18+. It aint like them 3+-rated racing car games lol.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
Every game released to only DS fails. If you compare DS games to any PSP GTA, you see the difference. GFX quality, story & how have it been copied from the original versions is something that DS can't never reach. I don't wanna sound like a fan boy, but:

Aha, look who's talking. Why did you post "gta habbo style" in the first place, if you once was a habbotard yourself?

It doesn't fail, games which are released on DS are good enough for a DS. You won't expect proper realistic features on a DS would you?

Re: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars
I would never buy it, my DS is probably a mile thick in dust right now.. It all sounds like a stupid idea in my opinion!

It is a really big shame, it was one of the main things that made me continue the game after finishing the storyline. Was a really nice system and with the improvements to technology jumping from the ps2 to next generation. It was quite a stupid idea not to include this and expand it so well. A large reason that after I finished the storyline I never turned it back on.
But to be more on topic.

You shouldn't be to worried about the art style. It should hopefully be old school top down GTA like the original awesomeness.

You guys are right. GTA 4 is a pretty good game, but not much of an improvement. San Andreas
was out of the story and random but it was one of the best one. It was a bit dark, but the game features
and things were a great idea.
GTA on DS!?
That's just stupid, like for PS2/PS3 it's more fun to play but DS, that'll just be slow as fuck.
