[REL][DEV] iNET Browser [Version 2 BETA]
iNET Browser
Introduction
I have been developing a simple browser, that will only require the simply functions such as the navigation controls: Search, Back, Stop, Forward, Home, Refresh, and one I added: Blank Page. iNET Browser will be updated in time, to improve it's uniqueness and its functionality.

If the word EXE puts you off thats because it sounds like an executeble file.
Technicly it isn't because its in a zipped fiile.
That option of executing the file is in your hands when you actually open the folder.
and their are no viruses on it, I'm not like that.

LOL, Is that a good way or the bad way, I know theres too may browsers. But simple people need simple stuff, right? xD
Off-Topic:
Notice on the File menu, it has Media Player, Open..., and Exit
Open hasn't been coded yet, it will open a page that has the ".html" extension.
Also, how can you make the browser default. so pop-ups open up in a new window, that is the application iNET Browser?
-
Re: iNET Browser (Version 2 release)
That was in both, good and bad. :)
I don't want to abuse you or something, i just feel the need to post in all browser topics that. =)

There is no "HTTP" file extension. You mean HTML; HTM, aren't you? :)

Re: iNET Browser (Version 2 release)
You got the pictures, right? And uploaded to some server? Simply use the [ img ]url here[ /img ] tag (without spaces), and it should appear.
-
Re: iNET Browser (Version 2 release)
I have the pictures, It's just the "Browse..." button that ain't working, the pictures are on my machine, I tired using my Dad's Server, to host them but I had no luck with that.
-
Re: iNET Browser (Version 2 release)
Try uploading in imageshack.us
-
Re: iNET Browser (Version 2 release)
I have tired, imageshack.us, I'll have another go...
...Still the same problem. I tired servimg.com The File Explorer came up, but the website goes to the Error 404 Page, after I clicked Upload.

Thanks, theres only one problem in a way it doesn't really matter, pop-ups open up in your default browser.
so V3 should solve it using its own extension, do you think that might solve that?
Anways, report bugs, if any occur.

Damn, than you will need to write your own engine I suppose.

Ohh, it's cool. You will be first man on this forum with your OWN internet explorer. Post it when you will finish.

Re: [REL][DEV] iNET Browser [Version 2 BETA]
i think the top takes up too much useless space. Like google chrome, it has only 3 rows for everything, tabs address bar and bookmarks.
i think you should try to scrunch up the space more and make the google search text bar a bit smaller. i usually look at my address bar more and when it cuts off a part due to space, it really pisses me off. haha.
i like it though. =]

Thanks, I'm gonna take that, as an suggestion for V3. Would you like to be credited? If so, What idea would that be?

Thanks, l'm writting an engine for my browser. The next version V3. Will have its own recongised file extension, so logically speak: All *.html, and even pop-ups will open up in a new window. Also V3 will have tabs, and some customization, and some options.
So yeah, thanks for the support.

Re: [REL][DEV] iNET Browser [Version 2 BETA]

Bah, not quite. There are literally hundreds more ways of using a webbrowser control in vb. Just google IE 7 clone visual basic and you'll see. It has MORE functions then internet explorer, heck, it looks exactly like it.
-
Re: [REL][DEV] iNET Browser [Version 2 BETA]
Yeah, I'm focusing on the engine. Before GUI comes back into my attention. As for access keys. If you mean for Search, and the others that can be done in V2 and the GUI. Intelext: The engine is nearly finished.
-
Re: [REL][DEV] iNET Browser [Version 2 BETA]
Sorry for double posting, and bumping. It's kinda important. The engine has been working, and all of a sudden it won't do its job. I'm going to find out why, and release it once I have found an answer.
Also, Tabbing isn't also going good, so that will be another issue for V3.
Thanks, for the continued support.
