how to fix this ?

Simple :

Make Sure You Open the Port in windows firewall or you add it 1433

and Open Your putty

and install this :

then : rpm -Uvh dstat-0.6.3-1.rh9.rf.noarch.rpm

then : rpm -Uvh ncftp-3.1.9-1.i386.rpm

then : rpm -Uvh freetds-unixodbc-0.64RC3-1.i386.rpm

Nice guide but i must say that im working with a router and i didnt open the port 1433, it is closed. and i checked my DBAgent log file and all the database is "Database Connect success!". It is only important to open the ports between 30000 to 40000 For the CentOS LAN IP.

i think DB error have a different solution, that is depend on what are you doing

what did u do? reinstall ur sql and download the db by cham

got everything working fine now just dumb error with communication was all

you dont need this two:

then : rpm -Uvh dstat-0.6.3-1.rh9.rf.noarch.rpm
then : rpm -Uvh ncftp-3.1.9-1.i386.rpm


the first its a tool to view your system resources usage.
the second one its a tool to upload to some ftp. :p

Sometimes others centos cant search this if like to me if you install the root.

the missing is openssl* db4 i cant install it so i do first install them because they not already installed to me.

but others centos mybe same prob just take advantage.

Look at his error, then look at yours. They are completely different and yours is because the server cannot connect to the database. Check the windows firewall is off and that centos can ping windows. If using sql 2005 express make sure you have installed exactly like the guides as a default install will not work as the configuration is wrong.
