This is a thread for others to help fix their problems, ex : Cannot access server (SQL), Updater problems, etc..

Fix :
1. Check your configuration files, this is most usually caused by not having a good configuration. Also check php.ini and make sure that "extension=php_msql.dll" and "extension=php_mssql.dll" have no ; before them.

2. It might be your ntwdblib.dll, turn off whatever web server your using and replace your old dll with this one http://forum.ragezone.com/attachment...0&d=1224015745, restart the web server and try again.

The file of where to put it is differs in which one you use.

NOTE:
I have really only used AppServ, I don't know where exactly the .dll file is on the others, but just find it and replace it there with the one you have downloaded.
Also, I know that you don't have to put it in all of these places. But I do anyways just to make sure. That's just me.

AppServ : C:/AppServ/PHP/

Wamp : C:/Program Files/PHP/ or C:/wamp/PHP/
(some old versions use the program files one)

Xammp : C:/xampp/PHP/

3. Also place ntwdblib.dll inside C:/Windows/system32/, and your apache bin dir. (To be safe, also put it in C:/Windows/ as well.)
4. Reboot your windows and your ready to go :]

Strict Standards (date functions)/ Time Zone error

Strict Standards: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function.

Follow these steps to fix :
1. Open php.ini (Start > Run > php.ini)
2. Search for "date.timezone"
3. Un-comment date.timezone and beside the "=" put your timezone name.
You can get a list of supported time zones from here : http://us2.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php

Server/Client Errors :
Can't see/Access Servers
Fix :
1. Make sure you have the correct information in serverstatus.dbo and locatorstatus.dbo in the DB
2. Then make sure you have an account in the DB, check Account.dbo and Login.dbo
3. Try port forwarding if you have a router.
4. If you have a dynamic IP I believe you can use No-IP or DynDns.

When you die you have to wait longer than usual to respawn a.k.a Respawn Glitch
Fix :
1. Get a new runnable/launcher that doesn't have this glitch. There is one in the sticky section already.

Quest Monsters do no damage to me, Why?
Fix : Your zitem doesn't have the monster's weapons in there and the game does it as doing no damage. Find a fixed one. If you find a good one post it here for me please :)

nomsg (E-1)
Fix :
E-1 is the error I believe to mean "DB is missing a table" or something.
If you using LG files just rename Character.dbo to LGChar.dbo

Fix:
Either restore the DB (there is usually a GunzDB.bak in the released DB) or just ignore the errors everything will still work fine :)

For some reason my matchserver keeps crashing and match agent says cannot connect to match server is there like a freakin auto restarter cause this happed alot yesterday =/ i cant even sleep it goes down llike every 4 hrs or so

first off you need the LogDB. its showing that.

2, You need to have your ODBC drivers under the System DSN not under User DSN.

and i do those 2 things how lol ?

maple servers were a whole lot easier and java was easier scripting for me

Search around for the LogDB database. and for the odbcad32 drivers try using SQL Client.

im gonna need a tutorial sorry =/

there's already tutorials on how to set up ODBC there's even one in the damn stickys >.>
go read Max's thread to set up a server. it has the odbc stuff in there it should be step 2

Hey wesman.. I was looking around for how to fix that bug on the new Final GunzWeb design by DN or w.e.. And some ppl were getting this error..

Alright Im assuming its the 2nd thing.. But how can I shut off appserv? I go to apache2.2 folder and click apache_stop and then it says Cannot Stop Here.. Hmm?

use service_uninstall
then when your done, just do service_install, it will auto restart the service

EDIT2: I think i found the soruce but i have no ideea why it happend and how to fix it... :

So the dlls are there but php doesn't see them... although i followed the path shown in the file and the files are there... I even copied the dlls in the windows\system32 but nothing happend, still same errors. But intresting is the fact that php_mysql.dll is in the same place as php_msql.dll but php_mysql.dll is loaded fine...

Hello, I'm sorry for the problems you are experiencing adilord let me see if I can help :D
I'm pretty sure I'm correct on the fix since I do it for everyone else and it works.
What I do is :
Check configuration files to see if they are correct
If still doesn't work then I check php.ini to see if mssql.dll and msql.dll are not commented out. (the ;)
If still doesn't work then I download the dll posted here and put it in the php directory listed.
If still doesn't work then I copy and paste the dll into the WINDOWS/System32 file
Usually it works after the last one.
Try those steps and tell me if it doesn't work. If not contact me on msn wesman2222@hotmail and I will fix it over Team Viewer.

I also noticed your php_error file, I had that once too and I don't think I ever found out how to fix it.

Hey man... thx for the help. I'm reinstaling the whole thing after a clean wipeout of the old settings. When I'm done i'm hoping for it to work. I will try thos steps you mentioned one more time after the instalation is done. Hope it will work :rolleyes:

EDIT: I dono why and how, but after i reinstaled everything... it worked :D i still had a few small errors but i fixed those easily

yep, i enabled both extentions as in the tutorials said, i also tried all the steps he said in a few posts above mine. it didnt work. anyone have any ideas?

Be sure you edited the php.ini that Apache loads. If no php.ini is found, it loads a default one.

My opinion: use an ODBC page.

are you trying to use LegacyGamers' DB/client? you usually get it from that. Or its also caused by a missing table or stored procedure. Post your MatchServer and Client logs ;)

u deleted the old patch.xml?
when you start Zpatchbuilder u dont need a patch.xml OR a patch.xml without something inside

Alright.. I was going to literally rebuild my gunz client with better files and such (before I had a working client and the undefined function mssql_connect error never happened) and it didn't work out too well. So I had to roll back to previous standards to where it worked before. Problem is, now I'm back to that undefined function mssql_connect error. I've reinstalled apache (appserv) and replaced the nwt DLL's with the one you had linked. Added it to the system folder as well. Still the same error. Mind hoppin' on TV and helping me fix this, wesman? My msn is Kyriagunz@hotmail.com

Sounds like your version of PHP isn't compiled with MSSQL. Try the PHP-MSSQL package.

ah i see what the issue was. I was using the Filelist Enabled version, got the Filelist skipped version and i am able to login, and the respawn issue is gone.

Since my last client release for my server everyone now gets Agent not availiable when they login on the game, is there a fix for this or any ideas that I could have done to cause this error?

1. Make sure monitorip is 127.0.0.1 in server.ini
2. Make sure MatchAgent is running and connecting to MatchServer [turn them both on and look at the bottom of MatchServer/Agent on Agent it will say Server (1) and on Server it will say Agent(1)]

Thanks for the quick response, I get this...

On match agent log it says

Failed to connect to match server (Err: -1)
Reconnect to Match Server

you probably started MatchAgent before MatchServer its nothing unless it keeps saying that even with MatchServer on.

aw, well ty for the response, I'm pretty sure whizkid fixed it for AniGunz a while back in a few minuets, must be some kind of SQL command / table to be edited / added i am guessing.

I know this isn't the place for this, but I have an interface problem with Blender. It's all fuzzy and unclear. Why is this and how do I fix it?

I have found a solution. I had upgraded both my Blender and Python to 2.49 and 2.6.2 respectively. I changed my resolution from 1024 X 768 to 1280 X 1024. My eyes strain because I am not used to very small text, >_> lol.

I guess I will have to "Blend" in 1280X1024, and release in 1024 X 768. Thanks for the help anyways.

I fixed mine :D
Its to do with the runnable / database that u use, june db + xaio's is usually fine (making sure to run the query that comes with it)

Edit: ok the runnable's not important (I don't think)

At least I haven't seen any runnable that could actually mess it up.
