Unofficial Fix Thread

This is a thread for others to help fix their problems, ex : Cannot access server (SQL), Updater problems, etc..

Web-Based Errors :
Unable to connect to server error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mssql_connect() in C:\AppServ\www\EGTest\config.php on line 32

Fix :
1. Check your configuration files, this is most usually caused by not having a good configuration. Also check php.ini and make sure that "extension=php_msql.dll" and "extension=php_mssql.dll" have no ; before them.

2. It might be your ntwdblib.dll, turn off whatever web server your using and replace your old dll with this one http://forum.ragezone.com/attachment...0&d=1224015745, restart the web server and try again.

The file of where to put it is differs in which one you use.

NOTE:
I have really only used AppServ, I don't know where exactly the .dll file is on the others, but just find it and replace it there with the one you have downloaded.
Also, I know that you don't have to put it in all of these places. But I do anyways just to make sure. That's just me.

AppServ : C:/AppServ/PHP/

Wamp : C:/Program Files/PHP/ or C:/wamp/PHP/
(some old versions use the program files one)

Xammp : C:/xampp/PHP/

3. Also place ntwdblib.dll inside C:/Windows/system32/, and your apache bin dir. (To be safe, also put it in C:/Windows/ as well.)
4. Reboot your windows and your ready to go :]

Strict Standards (date functions)/ Time Zone error

Code:

Strict Standards: date() [function.date]: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function.

Follow these steps to fix :
1. Open php.ini (Start > Run > php.ini)
2. Search for "date.timezone"
3. Un-comment date.timezone and beside the "=" put your timezone name.
You can get a list of supported time zones from here : http://us2.php.net/manual/en/timezones.php

Server/Client Errors :
Can't see/Access Servers
Fix :
1. Make sure you have the correct information in serverstatus.dbo and locatorstatus.dbo in the DB
2. Then make sure you have an account in the DB, check Account.dbo and Login.dbo
3. Try port forwarding if you have a router.
4. If you have a dynamic IP I believe you can use No-IP or DynDns.

When you die you have to wait longer than usual to respawn a.k.a Respawn Glitch
Fix :
1. Get a new runnable/launcher that doesn't have this glitch. There is one in the sticky section already.

Quest Monsters do no damage to me, Why?
Fix : Your zitem doesn't have the monster's weapons in there and the game does it as doing no damage. Find a fixed one. If you find a good one post it here for me please :)

Fix :
E-1 is the error I believe to mean "DB is missing a table" or something.
If you using LG files just rename Character.dbo to LGChar.dbo

Updating Error(s):

Fix:
Either restore the DB (there is usually a GunzDB.bak in the released DB) or just ignore the errors everything will still work fine :)

Help, when I finish a quest the item(s) I pick up doesn't show up in my inventory!!!!

Nahh :P i forgot some things but I had researched this error earlier but I have fixed it numerous times :P

but yeah the hosting is mine so creds to me :P the steps I just put into a better way to read :] so yeah you can take credits too but I just rewrote it so its easier to read. wes if you wanna add me on msn add me ?

For some reason my matchserver keeps crashing and match agent says cannot connect to match server is there like a freakin auto restarter cause this happed alot yesterday =/ i cant even sleep it goes down llike every 4 hrs or so
