have you ever looked at a shirt, billboard, or poster in a high fashioned shop. Don't you tell yourself "I could have done that in photoshop." Whenever I look at those graphics shirts, I go WTF I could have done that.
Do you ever see this stuff for yourself and want to do it?

Haha, yeah. Around here there's alot of amateur design shops, and they all look pretty bad but they still make money. And their "designs" are all things I've seen from beginners tutorials back when I was in Photoshop 2. ( I never had to take Photoshop 1 ;P )

yeh that has hppened to me many many times and i sometimes actuly think ''WHY THE HELL DINT I THINK OF THAT!! THATS SO EASY TO DO!!'' the thing is.. if its easy or not its not that that counts it how mutch tought they actuly put into it, like i would have never sayd that it was easy to do if i hadent actuly seen it.
i would have probably never actuly tought of it...
it just depends on the person realy.

Pretty much like cs3, but it has a nice interface.
Thing is it not really about i could i have done or that easy to make.
It about would you have thought about that text being placed there or doing that image like that or w/e/.
Its all about creativity.
"that text being placed there or doing that image like that" isn't really creativity. I mean, placing text is a logical thing. And I'm not really sure what "doing that image like that" is.
Thats not really what creativity is. And when you're an artist and you see some amateur art on a billboard, you don't think about what Photoshop filters you could add to it. You think about how easy each stroke and each line was, and what YOU would have done if given that job.
Lots of times!, better yet I'm getting my diploma in texture, which means I'm gonna be able to make the things and people say in there minds ''I couldv'e done that too!''. (The design).

Both have there own unique thing were making a t shirt design is hard because if there is text on the t shirt it has to be reaable and hopfully the frist thing that stands out.Quote:

With movie posters the first thing to catch your eye must be somthing to with the movie and somthing that apeals to people. take a James Bond movie for example guns, explosions, girls theres somthing there that has be of some significance to the movie to atract an audiance.
so you cant really compre to differant styles because they both have equaly hard facotrs to interprate into eachtoher.

Movie posters usually come out better, and are more advanced since the people that own these movies have plenty of money to spend on media. It's also harder then tshirt designs and billboard designs.
We had to do all 3 in my photoshop and illustrator classes last year. T-shirt designs were relatively the easiest.

When it comes to this forum, it's more about following guidelines to make signatures, and if you DON'T do these exact things, then you're wrong. Which is why I don't see it to realllly be art.
But yeah, like I've been saying, creativity is pretty much taking a blank canvas and making something straight from the mind. Hence the t-shirt metaphor.
