Server Help

Uhm, i go to change stats on items, but then i log ingame get a new one of the weapon, but stat is still same...any help?

Sounds like you're figuring things out at a fast pace :)

Whenever you modify an item, it is best to shutdown the server, then reopen it. Mind you, all OLD items will be the same. This means, for example, that if you picked up an axe that has 5-10 damage, but modified the axes serverside after picking it up, the axe will still do 5-10 damage. Try spawning the item again.

If that is not the case, A LOT of server files actually have duplicate item entries. This causes a lot of issues. This means that you'll have to--

a) delete the duplicate
or
b) modify all duplicates that have the same item code

Personally, I'd delete the duplicate entry or change its item code. Duplicate item codes can make items not drop and/or glitch when they drop.

Are you using the Sonnb editor?

And with the 619 files where are all the 110 items, as in fpt's death scythe or the fpt's silver scythe, and other stuff like that? i dunno what these are, because i go ingame and try to spawn them but they dont drop.
And i cant find how to get window mode,,,do i have to hex my client? Because the values in regedit say windowmode works, but it doesnt work lol, its still full screen lol...thanks btw :D

Im trying to get this step by step, there are still lots of things i need to get, but im ganna get items first lol :D

The easiest way to check if you even have those items is through the item editor. If it doesn't show up in there, you don't have it. Some server packs have different item sets as well.

The items that don't drop -- this could be another example of duplicate item codes and/or items that have the same name (including the zhoon files). Both cause these issues. Most server releases are literally piles of crap because of this. Nobody took the liberty to fix the issues and everyone who makes releases now adays just further makes the problem worse since they're 99% of the time just copying+pasting the old glitches with minor fixes.

Now, window mode depends on your game.exe. Some of them do not support Window Mode correctly. However, keep in mind that the primary way to tell the exe to go into Window Mode is not through the registry, but is through the ptReg.rgx file using the following line--

One step at a time :) I'd like to first solve your window mode issue. It's most likely your game.exe. What game.exe are you using?

GM items aren't important. You can make your own if need be. If the item editor doesn't show them, your server pack didn't have 'em. Literally check every possible item spot in the list for these items. If not, like I said, GM gear is simple to make. It's normal gear was modified values after all.

The 110 items should be in there. What server pack are you using? If it's missing all this stuff it probably isn't worth using. Mind you though, most releases that have high leveled gear end up replacing lower level gear since they weren't able to add to the item tables.

With the 110 items, i found the inferno armor, and the golden set, now i just need the weps :D, i have the weps up to the Inferno set from rpt
